Prince Eclipse False. I played the PC version, and I tested out the super form cancellation myself. It was impossible to enter the fight with the super form, it wore off when I beat Knuckles. So I used Debug Mode to just see if it was possible, and to no results. All that occurred was that he grabbed sonic, went up as usual, then slammed down. Sonic was released without any harm whatsoever, playing the noise a spring makes. Even if it was a bug, it's pretty... well, cool to think about. This one ship alone had the power to CANCEL OUT the super form. This was arguably one of the most successful machines Robotnik (or Eggman) has built, to do such a thing.
I remember when I was a kid, my older brother and cousins got to the final boss...and scored the finishing blow with no rings left, no lives left, no continues left...and 9:59 on the timer. You can't cut it any closer than that.

If not classic egghead wasn't badass, at least he was better than his future self. He was much more successful. on the other hand, the only thing that made modern eggman a bit decent was eggmanland.
Hey, Modern Eggman managed to capture multiple planets and chain them to an amusement park that was also connected to Sonic's homeworld, almost turned the Lost Hex into a lifeless void, and even ripped the planet apart. Classic Eggman can't even come close to that(and it's somewhat implied that Classic Eggman was only brought into Modern Eggman's plan after Classic Sonic destroyed the Death Egg).
it's the start that always got me, when the Sky went dark and Robotnik quickly fell down so you weren't sure what it looked like until he actually came for you and grabbed you.
0:00-0:14 Eggman enters the restroom and yawns. He pulls down the toilet seat, making sure it's tidy and sits on it. He proceeds to take the most *LOONG* and unforgivable *shit* ever made. 0:15 He has complete diarrhea that starts exploding in the toilet as he grunts of relief and pain.

It's inarguably badass.
I've heard horror stories that in the genesis version, he could cancel out your Super Form.
