    Wicked, thanks Jeff! So, I was wrong in my assumption. It's not a 21700 1p pack, but essentially an XR battery in there. I assume they're using the same Murata VTC6 cells, since it's a 2p 6Ah 324Wh pack. That's really cool.
    I'll have to do another video on this stuff... because I caved and ordered one of these. Couldn't help it.

      They could have used the 21700 which is what I have now on my onewheel PINT. Instead they made us of their overstocked battery which is the smaller size, but double the number of battery. I imagine if they placed 21700. . that will probably beat the GT. Then no one willl buy the GT.

    Losing That 1/2 inch clearance messed me up.
    On my pint i was going up the hills in my neighborhood fine. On my X my nose scraped on this one hill and i took a dive. Scraped up my left hand, elbow and hip.
    I have since then installed fangs to help alleviate that issue.

  • @BinfordOver9000
    @BinfordOver9000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    14:00 Exactly why I haven't pulled the trigger on a GT yet. If it has pushback like the pint, that's a deal breaker for me. I think they say it's got more carving angle than the XR, tho. That's what I'm excited about.

    • @DragonPixels
      @DragonPixels 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep its got the pint tire but with the xr size so its easier to carve on the GT

    • @BinfordOver9000
      @BinfordOver9000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DragonPixels Oh, I was thinking the board was programmed to have more lean angle. But I guess you’re right. Maybe they just get it from the tire and foot pads

    • @xfleazillax8413
      @xfleazillax8413 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tire and rim are a 1/2 an inch thicker than the XR and that’s why I think they made the tire look more rounded on the edges, I’m betting it will turn more like the pint but not as much as you might think, looking at the tire it’s going to be all muscle control on those sides, not like the Burris T-33 or the Trail Pro where you can kinda set it on that edge and it has this stable spot while you turn at full speed.

      It is

    • @dustinglowa1072
      @dustinglowa1072 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pints had several revisions of the nut.
      It first was stainless machined but , then they did silastic to try and stop vibration ratting it loose and finally the same plastic nut was introduced on regular pints maybe 6 months ago

    • @xfleazillax8413
      @xfleazillax8413 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like they went with the cheaper GX-12 3pin connector on the GT which is a downgrade for sure, your going to see more issues with chargers getting broken a guarantee it..
      I’m hoping it just looks like it but is actually something thicker and more significant

    • @MatthewLiguori
      @MatthewLiguori 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xfleazillax8413 the charging plug is in the rear on the GT suggesting charging is done thru the BMS like on the Pint and Pint X, and presumably with the same BMS as those 2 (maybe with a couple alterations or additions to the circuitry).
      I think this is the nature of the beast tho. Charging thru the controller then routing to the battery is just extra steps. I hope they did this intentionally, knowing it would be a failure point but still risk-assessed it to be “better” than the old XR+ method.
      I really do hope 😅🙏 and I wonder what “better” truly means, if it’s just for their highly questionable repair system monopoly, or if #RightToRepair means anything to them and if it helps mechanics and DIYs like ourselves in the long run. Time will tell, cuz FM sure won’t say a single word about it 🤐

    • @xfleazillax8413
      @xfleazillax8413 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MatthewLiguori yeah make sense except an XLR connection is tried and true in strength over the GX-2 connectors , XLR just watch and music video ever and watch what musician do with there mics and tell me it’s not more durable.
      Moving the power down makes sense with the Pint format for sure but I think they are going that direction because they had to decrease the price of the build because they also wanted to increase the battery size and keep the board at a reasonable price, I’m thinking the XR will remain a better built board.
      The pint isn’t a bad machine but it was half the price with some different tech to bring it down to its price point

    Here's a question would be pretty interesting to find out: If you can get your hands on the X battery, can you swap it into the regular Pint? Then you could have the regular Pint battery if you fly with it and the X battery when you're not flying and want the extra range. Or maybe even as a quick "recharge" just swap the batteries
