I just figured out.... the entire cartoon series was just comics trying out their stand-up routine in the setting of a therapy session lol
I loved the show as a young kid even though I didn't really get all the jokes. Years later when I was a teenager and saw it again after all those years, that realization was MINDBLOWING, hahah.
Actually the comics already had their routines the show was another venue for them
Loved, loved this brilliant series. It felt so off-the-cuff and improvised that the situations were even funnier because of that. Come back, Dr. Katz.
Yes, it combines human warmth and cold-eyed comedy into a unique (and health-giving!) fusion....
@@noochinator2 u should time stamp it all for each patient..

@@noochinator2 hi doc how's it going I'm just chilling up in here and enjoy the humor of such videos and I feel like marrage is this obligation.
people enter this life of gotta get up gotta go to work gotta drive children to soccer practice gotta go home gotta pay the bills gotta go to bed gotta go through the routine all over again.
because planning becomes your life everything is a schedule.
imagine driving the person your with is yelling at you children are fighting in the back seat of the car ya feel like pulling over to a rest stop looking up in the mind yelling why??????🥺😭
emotional drama is carried around sometimes for weeks can't get the sadness out of your hair and send it on it's merry way freaken way.
I secretly analyze people I've worked with at jobs I never like it's like being at a social boring party and thinking why is this day just dragging on.
something about long hour jobs you wish could go by quickly. thinking to yourself please let this day just end already so I can watch sports at home and yell at the coach for making the worst plays in history of sports games. this would be funny a mother lecturing a coach her son for making these bad plays telling him he's grounded and no internet for several months.
This is great to listen too while cleaning.

Jonathan Katz continues to "struggle" with the MS he was diagnosed with in 1996. He is now 73 years old and can no longer walk. Apparently, he continues to push forward with strength perhaps that many of us do not have. Or don't know that we have.
@@Jimmyboygohome It is, but if you read his Wikipedia page, it sounds as if he's dealt with it with continuing good humour.
He's still performing! They're doing another live Dr. Katz this month. He's outlived the prognosis, so I'd say he's faired very well all things considered. Not trying to undercut his suffering, but for how painful and awful life can be, he's ended up on his feet. Well... at least on his scooter.
That joke was made for the Dr, himself. Love ya, Katz.
I have ms and been diagnosed since 95. If you want to help those of us that live with ms, please consider giving to the ms foundation. Blessings to all.
Still watching this and Home Movies in 2020! HJB is a gift, and Katz is as well. Even Katz small part in Home Movies is awesome! Brendan!
Havent seen this is in years. You can pit this on and let it run and it wont turn to crap lol
I don't even watch I just listen to and jajaja! Brilliantly made 😀👪🐕
The father son relationship in Dr Katz is more natural than the vaunted Dr Cosby’s on the NBC show. My son 27 is still living at home and he is like Ben in many ways. He’ll call me to verify an item as he’s arguing with a friend; the thing about 🇩🇴 is that other people think that we’re about to fight when in reality we’re just passionate folks! Black folks are also like that very intense when it comes to dissing on each other.💃🕺🙌🙏🐕♒️🥳
I am just discovering this splendid series. B*R*I*L*L*I*A*N*T.
I love this show!!
Garry shandling, my God what a talent
Pure gold
Steven Wright was so so great
Dr.Katz has a following not unlike Monty Python or George Carlin .
We operate at a level different than the rest of the population that just don't get the tid bits of humor as being so much bigger .
These little bits are like the silence in any song..... It's key .
A good episode can be like listening to Surf Guitar .
It just carries you along it just flows... Love it.
Given me a lot of joy 🤩
I love a good latte. I feel you Janine.
Don't get too close to her, you might catch her horrible case of hipster self loathing.
This guy's fantastic
Great show🥰🥰🥰🥰 big up yuhself Dr J Katz some of the cheesiest dry humor perfectly paced so calming. Really miss the animation hah
Not an acceptable replacement for actual therapy ??🤔🥸🤷🏽♀️
Respec 🇯🇲
Maybe I should book a therapy session so I can work on some of my newer material for open mic night.
that sounded like the into narrator to all the old Trek audio books
I forgot that this series was recorded in a pantry in some guy's kitchen.
Wouldn't doubt it had a very low budget and had to make due with whatever resources and/or facilities they could get ahold of.
love
Is this the only one like this (only audio) that is available?
Wait, he's a real person!? That's so cool!
Xoxoxo xoxoxo amazing 🤩
Whoops. You know what that means.
you know what the music means..
Have it done professionally!!!
With disease and everything, I won't have sex with someone unless they say ,... ok
me too
Jon Benjamin is a big character on the show.. I dont think I heard his name..? It should've been right after kats right?
Where is Dr. K these days?
I know, we need a reboot! And comedian patients only, no mere celebs....

what is
Laura....not so enthusiastic here....yeah
Who's doing the voice of Laura because if it's Laura Silverman she doesn't get a credit
I remember my mother pregnant and downstairs leaving Me to run wild
Just woke up to this. Apparently youtube auto play went to this. This is painfully unfunny. Wow a jew passing neurosis as humor? Never heard that before. 🙄
Should have been bigger than Seinfeld.
