Would the second team still work if you had hydro pump or gyarados or didn't have meteor mash on metagross? I have an elite charge TM but am reluctant to use it
I want to thank you for this video. The main reason I battle is to get a Rufflet. The past two seasons I have managed to make it to rank 7.5 pretty quickly, then I have hemorrhaged losses and slid back to where I should have been demoted. The next league comes, same thing happens. This season I was at that 7.5 spot, and was holding steady with slow gains when it switched to Master League. I decided to try your Machamp/Metagross/Gyrados line up. I went 4-1/4-1/4-1 to finally bust through that rank 8 barrier. Just now I went 5-0 in my first rank 8 set and got my first Rufflet. Thank you so much.
I like how u always looking out for all Pokémon trainers no matter there lvl and that’s why ur one of the top Pokémon go content creators ppl follow. ❤️👍
I've been rocking that Machamp/Gyarados/Metagross team since season 2, except the team got better this season because I got a better Gyarados on Magikarp day! So now my team has a perfect lv 40 Machamp, perfect lv 40 shiny Gyarados, and 98% lv 40 Metagross.
I'm only lv 36 and I don't have the dust and/or candies to invest in Master, and I just had a rough day for ultra today. I don't want to hurt my MMR so I can reach rank 9, hopefully, when all leagues are back, so I'm only doing probably one set a day for master just to get stardust more than anything. I may invest my elite tm on my 15/12/15 Swampert that I best buddied(Do you recommend this course of action?) but I'm saving candies as I have two Marshtomps ready to evolve for both great and ultra league when a community day event happens. Also you're easily my fav for PVP content.
Love videos like this. One suggestion... add in some alternates such as concaldor instead of machamp. Or an alternative to garchomp. There are many times I watch and I have 2 out of 3 of a team that's showcased and I have to try and find a filler pokemon to make up the team.
It's so nice that you made a non-legacy team for new players or players that might have missed out on some events! Question: I have only a 15-12-12 gible. Do you think it's fine to use it? Or should I try and get another one (like wait for a lucky trade..)? Does the defense matter much on garchomp?
Thanks for another great video. Just hope they have resolved all the bugs and problems with double or triple charged moves, no-fast move on the pokemon after a charged move etc. The last two weeks have been a nightmare consisting of bugs in almost every game. Have dropped almost 400 ranking points because of it. From 70% win ratio before to 20% in that period. So for all in the community, let us hope they have solved those issues.
I'm running the Champ/Gary/Gross team but there's one thing that dismantles it: Swampert in the back. If Gary is low on health or down, it's pretty much gg. I can handle the other matchups, but Swampert is more common than I thought and it's a monster. Tips are welcome :)
Thanks for the video! I like your first team and have the mons for that, but kinda worried about ice attackers because the entire team is weak to it. How do you handle those situations?
I used the double-ground team. It's very strong. The only weaknesses are Mamoswine lead, waterfall Gyarados and aTogekiss backline. But it's easy to work around them.
Same here but I don't care I am having a blast and lots of fun trying out funny stuff like double close combat(ursaring, gallade) and wild charge(arcanine) or some overheat flareaon with some degree of success and failure but it is still funny. My casual team is usually poliwrath, snorlax and gallade but I am being held back I guess for bot having my second move on snorlax
I don't know what teams you're running, but personally I'm using Gengar with shadow punch and shadow ball on the lead, A. Muk (dark pulse/sludge wave) on the safe swap, and Togekiss (ancient power/flamethrower) in the back. It's a little bit tricky to run and it took me some time to really master it, but this team got me rank 9! Maybe it'll work for you too
This video is perfect. I am using garchomp equipment and it is doing very well. Could you make the same video for the 1500 and 2500 league? I would ask you without legendary but you decide. A hug
Please do post a video about the cd move of Gyarados for the current ML PC coming tomorrow... Whether it will be useful or not?? N what 2nd charge move we should use??
yeah man put more of the teams , in the last season premier cup your teams helped me a lot these are really awesome pt some more video featuring new mons like mamoswine and some unique picks too
I used gyrados(dragon breath crunch and hydropump(as aqua tail was not available then)) metagross (bullet punch meteor mash and earthquake) and snorlax (lick body slam and earthquake) last season and this team did very good for me
ive been taking a hiatus from UL because my team hasnt felt the same as it was before, and venasaur is way too overusedd and i dont have a counter, I might try ML with conqeldurr, gyarados and im not sure what i would use as my 3rd
Thanks a lot for the second team. I barely played master league since I often lost. But the second team makes me fun and win (not all the time, but often enough). So a big thanks. Also for other videos, I learned a lot for PVP by watching them :)
Very interesting videos, thanks for doing them. I actually have had rough time in Master League normally, but Premier Cup will probably help me a bit. My combo has been the same, machamp, metagross and gyarados, but i've had a little different moves, dynamic punch on machamp and waterfall + crunch + outrage on gyarados. Hopefully this will make a differ :D
Hey Zyonik! Absolutely loving the content, keep it up! I’m pretty dust/candy poor and trying to pick a team to invest 2nd moves in for master league and use it for the 2 weeks. Here’s what I have in stock: Gyarados (with CD), Machamp, Dragonite, Excadrill, Glaceon, Abomasnow, Gengar (with CD). Any ideas? I could also use my ultra league Snorlax/togekiss but can’t power them up.
So I’ve never tried ML before, but do you need to have your teams combat points maxed out to truly be competitive? Most of my pvp viable Pokémon are under 2500 for UL, so I’m wondering if it’s even worth the heavy investment to power some guys up just to be able to put up a decent fight lol
Hey Zyonik,i just wanted to ask your opinion on my new team that i got a 5-0 with tonight, its Machamp on the lead, Best buddy Snorlax on safe swap(and metagross counter),and then metagross in the back
Good video once again. I have recommended Dragonite, Metagross & Magnezone when I tried to help my friends in Master Premier. This worked very well until my friends' opponents also started to run these Pokemon (especially Dragonite + Metagross combo) when their rating rose. Now I am still going to recommend those three but when they reach a higher rating I recommend using Togekiss, Gachomp & Rhyperior. And I also recommend your channel ;) Edit: I started to wonder how Togekiss + double ground handles Aqua Tail Gyarados leads.
Togekiss wins against gyarados, so its best if its in the lead. The Garchomp + Togekiss Core is reaaaaaally popular, most of the time completet by snorlax. I was running DNite + Meta * Magnezone as well last season, climbing up to 2900, then being matched against this team way to much, where my only chance to win was basically them switching Garchomp instead of Snorlax into the Metagross safe switch. Now with Aqua tail it could be possible, that Gyarados is now the superior lead for Dragonite + 2x Steel, but thats something hard to guess. Mamoswine will rise a bit and its best in the lead, cause it needs up to 2 shields to win some matchups (for example dragonite LOL), but can pressure the backline cause it can farm down in most 2-1 shield scenarios (f.e. against dragonite), so youre most likely ending winning lead, but with 0-1 Shields and a avalanche/bulldoze ready
I’m confused. The first Legacy team match, why go for three Meteor Mashes instead of two Earthquakes? I know it worked out either way, but aren’t two Earthquakes more energy efficient?
What just happened? I used the first team, togekiss and (shiny 😏) rhyperior as a maxed 98iv, garchomp a maxed 4*. First set 5/0, next two sets 2/3! 😨 First round got me to rank 8, but the fights in rank 8 were really disappointing. Any tips? Might try the second team as well. 🤔
What's your take on Gyarados with Aqua Tail over Hydro Pump since it charges to the former much quicker and deals relatively more damage than the latter against Togekiss?
I was running the latter team. I am debating if I want to leave my current gyarados or put in my waterfall+aqua tail one. If I did that I would need to swamp Machamp for something that counters dragonite more though
Should I submit an ultra league or Master league battle for next top battles of the week as it is a mixed week? I got an interesting ultra league battle ready.
Any alternatives that work sorta like Gyarados? I have both a metagross and machamp at a decent level but need a third since I don't have Gyarados at master league ready to go just yet
Thanks, looking forward to trying out master premier cup pvp - will use an excadrill too, as it is my favourite mon..! Why is Machamp used in pvp and not Conkeldurr? Is it because of the worse pvp moveset? I thought Conk's overall stats may still make it better in some situations
Cross Chop is better than dynamic punch, because its more spammy and adds the extra damage machamp needs to punch down a lot of things. Since Conkel only has dynamic Punch, it relyes on Counter damage and no shield scenarios to land nukes, while machamp can work in most shield scenarios
@@Duderantula I think conkeldurr could be an awesome closer, cause it hits PRETTY hard, Stone edge f.e. basically one shots dragonite. Machamp is more of a generalist, so if you can find a good strategy around conkeldurr, it could work, its just more easy to implement machamp into a team and of course into a batlle.

I was running that double ground team last season, it has some nice uses but I didn't manage to get to rank 9, dragonite is too fast for garchomp and rhyperior, and garchomp is also more squishy than it looks. Anyway I might use it again, skills are also important 😅
Keep up the great work man! Quick question: I just came back to PoGo and have limited pokemon and Dust. I can build 1 of those teams but I am level 33 so my max is not level 40 pokemon my mmr is 2,224 should I invest all my dust or skip master? Thanks for help
Thats been my team since maril day!! But i lead garchomp not togekiss. Got so many wins that maril event!! Think it was 100 battles that event. No shiny but did get 75 wins my elo shot up
I have a quick question for anybody well-versed in master league. Are 96% ivs high enough to use in master league without seeing much difference? I have dragonite and metagross 15/14/14 and want to know if i should fully invest in them for master league (returning player)
To be honest, I think Excadrill with Drill Run and Rock Slide is even stronger then Garchomp. Mostly because Exca doesnt have "Dragon illness" but its Dragon resistant and its so huge help against boiz spamming Dragonite and Garchomp xD The only Garchomp's advantage comes from not having weakness against Machamps.... and i meet much more Dragons then Fighters.
Michal Sara That’s a good point but a problem with Excadrill is the water weakness from Swampert and Gyarados that Garchomp doesn’t have. Excadrill also takes longer to get to charge moves. His fast attack hits harder though. Love taking down Metagross and Magnezone with Excadrill’s fast move.
@@judgemorris Are you sure? Most of time i meet Gyara with Dragon Breath again plus for Exca (i know, aqua tail is still there, but thats not so huge deal because you still have super effective Rock Slide, wich can help you also against very popular Togekiss.)
Michal Sara The problem I run into is how long it takes to build up for a rock slide. Gyarados can get two aqua tails quicker. Again, though, I’m a big fan of Excadrill and use him in master league premiere.
lol his garchomp is actually only lvl 30 i feel like and it still scrapes. MAX CP GARCHOMP IS 4k+. You probably don't have enough dust if you don't farm dust to play in Master or maybe even ultra.
chibba yeah I mainly don’t have the candy/stardust. I do pretty well in the ultra league with a level 33 blastoise and meganium so I would def give master league a shot if I could max some of these other Pokémon to level 33. I only have like 80k dust rn though 😅
@@GrayShark18 I see. lucky i power lvl to lvl 38 and stopped. It's easy to power lvl though. I am going to update a video trm or tuesday of me spending a million dust to upgrade my team for master's preimer league and future raids. Lucky I have been saving my dust and farming dust from pvp.

@@eddiestacks1585 thanks for the input! I am just very addicted to it haha and kinda dont wanna stop but probably is best decision
Amazing teams! What team would you recommend with a Dragonite? I have a perfect IV one that I want to use.
thanks man, i needed a team to run and this gave me a line up!
Ive been waiting for your vids all day
im new. do i not get to play pvp for 2 weeks bc pogo decided master league is fun?
Thats been my team since maril day!! But i lead garchomp not togekiss. Got so many wins that maril event!! Think it was 100 battles that event. No shiny but did get 75 wins my elo shot up
main change in the meta would be Gyarados with Acua and the improved Powder Snow (Mamoswine), right?
Yep
I have a quick question for anybody well-versed in master league. Are 96% ivs high enough to use in master league without seeing much difference? I have dragonite and metagross 15/14/14 and want to know if i should fully invest in them for master league (returning player)
What can i use on metagross in the second team instead of meteor mash?
psychic? not really much of a choice
How do you find out your Pokémon’s level?
Well... Hope Masters will be kind to me. Was at 2470 on the verge of rank 9 and lost like 250 points. Rip
I think Aqua tail will be better now?
I used Machamp, Metagross, and gyrados last season. Did pretty well for me, has potential to be even better with aqua tail
I don't have the Meteor Mash move on my Metagross. How much of a difference is it gonna make?
D.K. All the difference in the world, useless without it sadly
@@maysonatkinson8950 ok thanks 😅
D.K. Excadrill would be the best replacement in my opinion
@@maysonatkinson8950 will be trying out. Thanks again!
I myself looking for hundo togepi/togetic for age. They dont want to put it in egg
Is dialga still good in the ML?
I like running Excadrill to counter Metagross and Magnezone. Wish I had a perfect Garchomp to swap in instead.
Solid option for sure!
Know i have a shundo garchomp maxed out so i have something for ML🤭
i know
Got a 96% shiny garchomp
Is master league where u can get legendary or darkrai?
I use metagross, garchomp and conkeldurr. Should i switch out something
Switch out Conkeldurr to Machamp
@@itsshawnpais thanks👏
you have 100% garchomp, where did you get it
Bro i like the legacy team...i think i can handel that team better than the 1st one..and thanx zyoink you help me to find out a good team😁
Unfortunately I’m a level 33 trainer so I take a little pvp vacay during the master league. It looks really fun though!
lol his garchomp is actually only lvl 30 i feel like and it still scrapes.
@@GrayShark18 Lol I see. Here is a video of me spending almost 1 mil stardust for Pvp. I technically already have a maxed out dragonite and machamp, but I wanted to buff the better IV ones.

Is luxray and staraptor are good
I've just found my perfect Ultra Premier Team that is still good with my 100k Stardust and suddenly we're at Master League
And why does everyone has a Hundo Garchomp? I'm sitting here with the one from October 2019 (12/13/12)
I have 3 lucky gible and 1 maxed out lucky garchomp but the IVs is like 91 93 96 98 :P. Niantic is being rude to me.
Because go fest and dragon week man, people were crazy about gible raids and even myself got a 98one in the wild and it was barely maxed out hahah
@@lucaloxen8553 unfortunately, I am free to play
I have a shundo gyarados ready since last season... My aquatail hundo is at 500 CP... RIP Stardust
I have a 80% melmetaI. A 93% garchomp and a 100% iv dratini which i need to evolve
But i might look to try out shadow mewtwo
