The part I loved is where Esther spends a lot of time beautifying herself before speaking to the King. There is a lot of wisdom in what she did. Make yourself beautiful before going to save the life of your people. Smart and beautiful.
We are Christian. One of my all time fav Bible studies was on Esther. Each character had a special sound (Vashti was “ooh la la) which we said whenever their name was mentioned. I used it w my elementary Sunday School class. They loved it We are of course in Lent. Hubby (who’s a preacher) talked about Purim this AM in his sermon. Great video. Thx for sharing. Your kids are just too cute! Happy Purim
Happy Purim Sonya and family🎉🎉 I enjoyed your videos of getting ready for Purim so much and the day of with you all dressed up. You all looked beautiful❤. I shared this with my children. I know there are alot of you tube videos out there butyours is #1 on my list. Thank you Sonya
I love that your children know the stories, participate in the planning and then join in the celebration. What a beautiful tradition. Thank, as always, for sharing. I so look forward to your videos.
Your gift bags are so cute and are very generous. It would be cute if you had a little card with a blessing or warm wishes from your family. I love the tradition. It seems like a lot of fun and very generous
Your gift bags look adorable! I’m glad they had so much fun helping you put the bags together. And if anybody wants to give me a thumbs down for what I am about to comment go for it, I don’t care. I’m also very happy that you and the other families have your Purim dinner catered. Yes, many families who want to make all of the food and do of the clean up. That is a ton of stress. I hope you and your friends have a wonderful celebration. I’ve seen your Shabbat dinner videos. You deserve to have someone pamper you and do the cooking for one meal! ❤❤❤
Hello to the sweetest family on earth! You are so adorable!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha I absolutely love your channel my dear Sonya!! I'm so sorry that I missed your video on Sunday, but here I am watching today, Tuesday! You always put a smile on my face and sunshine to my life! This 76 year old woman thanks you with all my heart for all you give, not only to my life but to everyone who watches your channel. Thank You, sweet Sonja!!
@@SonyasPrep Don't cry unless they're tears of happiness! My words come from the heart and I am sincere in what I say! I think you are absolutely wonderful and you give so much of yourself to people like me. God Bless you and your beautiful family, Sonja! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Ty so much for explaining your Jewish holidays, I enjoy learning about them, and you explain it so beautifully, to where others understand it. I know cowboys had to have a lot of dried foods. The only thing else I could think of was maybe beans. They are a lot of those. Since you already said jerky, nuts, and trail mix, that had the dried fruit in it. You could of also maybe got fruit leather/roll, which ever you call it.
3-6-2023 went to meijer's grocery store this morning and saw a full display in center aisle for PURIM!!!! this is a first! i like how the grocery stores are starting to diversefy for different ethnic groups.
Happy Purim Sonya! I truly love watching your kiddos help your definitely a hands on mommy…My children both went to Catholic ❤School and they were taught and celebrated Purim… ❤
Happy Purim! Was so glad to see your latest posting! You all did such a great job of incorporating all the traditions and including the whole family! Good job! I've long admired your beautiful dining room furniture. If it's not too personal to ask, where could find a similar set! It truly is the heart of your home!!!🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠💯❤❤. One "cowboy" item may be beans as cowboys always have a pot of beans over the campfire out on the prairie? Again, so glad to see your latest posting!!!
I'm from Texas so believe me , Cowboys eat Chili and beans. You can also do like a fritz pie, it's feito chips with chilli on top with cheese and jalapeños. You can make kosher hot dogs for the kids . Fruits are watermelon, cantaloupe and for dessert ice cream cones
At our congregation's celebration of Purim it is so fun to see how excited the kids get, they love making noise so when we do the reading they get very boisterous. Very fun
I enjoyed this video so much. I love how you all worked together on the gifts your family will be giving others. I love that the kiddos get to take ownership in the holiday. I try to include my grandchildren in the process when we prepare for holidays. I really think it helps them understand the meaning of why we celebrate the holiday the way we do. As a Christian our holidays are not the same as yours, but the inclusion of family in preparation is something we share.
Thank you for sharing this video of you and the children prepping for Purin 🤓🔥 I love story of Esther / Hadassah and the movie version I keep in my playlist and DVD collection is entitled: One Night With The King.💖🌻❤️ Your videos are a pleasure to watch❗ Blessings on all y'all ❤️✝️🛐☮️✡️🕎🔥♥️♥️🇺🇸🇮🇱🙏📖🤓🌟🌟🌟
Shalom I love your videos and how you explain teaching us thanks for everything also I would like to know the cookie hamantash recipe hopefully u can make a video
I would have suggested cans of baked beans. And, when I was a kid, there used to be a shredded bubble gum in a little pouch (like chewing tobacco). But I don't know if that was ever kosher. This year, my daughter just baked gluten free chocolate chocolate chip cookies, an apple and a small carton of milk. That was our m'shlach manot. My kids are all almost grown and they make their own costumes if they want. I'm old and 😉tired!
Happy purim. We are celebrating with our local chabad tonight and tomorrow. Please share your reciepe. We have made it using a.chabad reciepe the hamantashan cookies. However this year with not having sugar at my home I just figured from a bakery it will do.
I just read that last week in the Bible .. the Book of Esther (Hadassah) .. I love her story, and the name Hadassah. Enjoy Purim .. looks like so much fun!
Thank you for mentioning Hadassah (indeed a beautiful name) My name is Haddass and I am always surprised it is never mentioned in the story of Purim, or so few. Hadassah is an Hebrew name with a signification and a numerical value. Esther is a Persian name with no signification…
As usual your video is ADORABLE. You are BH raising your kids BEAUTIFULLY. The will IYH be wonderful members of society, as they are UNSPOILED, SMART and at this age, already hard working. Purim Sameach. Glad (although will miss you HORRIBLY) you will not make as many videos, as you are already so busy and really deserve "me time" As a mom of six, I know how busy it is and to make sure we spend time with our husbands, and do what we can for our children, it is hard to find time for ourselves, but please be sure that you do take time for yourself
Coffee, beef jerky, beans are cowboy foods I think of. Your hamantaschen are prettier than the ones I made a few years ago. I called them Haman-blobbin because they spread all over the cookie sheet!
I live in Texas, so beef jerky and beer are correct. Maybe add something like Cowboy cookies would be my only suggestion. Of course anything BBQ. Love your vlogs and beautiful family.
It's nice to see how you prepare for the holidays. Have you ever considered using a crock pot? Regularly use it before Shabbat and Mo'edim. Very handy.🙂
Thank you so much for your sharing the holiday and it's meaning. I love your videos and I look forward to the recipes you will make for your holiday. God bless you and your family, Happy Purim.
I made Tori Avey’s recipe for hamantaschen this year with apricot filling. They were so yummy! Your kids did an awesome job making yours. The corners stayed together! Happy Purim, Sonya!
Im a born again Christian I've know the Story of Queen Esther. Esther was a woman of faith and courage. A woman of prayer and fasting. I have watched the movie One night with the King. Many times. Vadhti was a woman who was in Disobedience to her husband

Happy Purim Sonya! I’m going to have to disagree with your husband on this one lol as a Texan, I can say that cowboys and salsa go together perfectly 😁 Love your theme! And your mishloach manot bags were perfection! ❤ Have such a fun holiday!!!
My name is Haddass. I think it worth mentioning it as Queen Esther, which is a Persian name, real name was the Hebrew name Hadassah , which means the myrtle, one of the 4 odorant plants we put in the lulav, sukkot 4 minim (4 species of plants). I know I am bias of course, but I found Hadassah way more beautiful than Esther and am always very surprised that so few refer to her by her real name, and never even mention it (although it is clearly explained in the Meguilat Esther)…
I'm afraid to make Hamantaschen anymore. Mine are not turning out for some reason. They are flat :( I just buy them from our local Jewish bakery or from Whole Foods. Whole Foods has Mango Hamantaschen
I love how engaged the children are with their culture. What a beautiful heritage.

@@SonyasPrep yes, and if everyone focused on the slimes instead of differences the world would be a much better place. And pleasing to God!
I think beans, like baked beans, was common then some kind of bread to soak up the juice of the beans.
Your bags and hats are so cute! Trail mix and Cracker Jack go good with a cowboy theme. Happy Purim!

Dried fruit & nuts , beef jerky, soda, coffee are some of the items you could have used.
Since you have Corona Beer you could have done the salsa and guacamole & tortilla chips for the Vaquero (Spanish for cowboy) 🤠
😅😅I guess so
Cowboys ate a lot of canned beans on the trail. Plus coffee they boiled over the campfire. Pringles sounds better imo.

easy clean up

Mexican cowboys are some of the best cowboys!
Maybe beef jerky and a small can of baked n beans?
Yes that’s a great idea
I would have included steak but not sure how long it would last.
Hey! Shy! Mexicans can be cowboys too. I think it is because they are associated with the southwest and the old west. 😁
Brisket with bar b que sauce, baked beans, corn on the cob,
Great ideas!!
I’m from Tulsa Oklahoma btw. We know cowboy and Indian haha. For dessert, fruit cobblers are a mainstay for cowboy themed dinners.
Beer and popcorn or nuts and apple juice and popcorn or nuts.
Not judging, just confused. Who did the beer go to?
"Baked bean" candies or small tins of real baked beans
