  • Collecting beautiful blue azurite concretions and black chalcocite pseudomorph after wood with green malachite coatings. The chalcocite here has high silver values. The Nacimiento Mine just east of Cuba, NM has been closed for many years but offers rockhounds lots of collecting enjoyment.

Hello, I'm rob from Texas , been following y'all for a while and finally decided to show someone something I found on the side of a lonely new mexico highway when I stopped on the side on a lonely highway which is on a historical territory used by bandidos and outlaws to get to and from Mexico when they were running away from the law and is historically known to be a pathway PANCHO VILLA used to ride to go to Mexico after stealing lots of stuff in the USA , u can see part of that piece I found, found it like a little over 30 yrs ago, on my way from south Texas to SLC, UTAH ,had to do and emergency stop to "tinkle" , after I got done , I decided to take a stroll there in the desert and some dried up lava rocks, that's when I saw it half burried sticking up, got my attention cause of it's shape, I'm not a hunter and I still have no idea what it could be, had given it to my dad and refound it years after he past away while cleaning his old garage. he had put it in an old toolbox .... check out the pic on my account, been told it could be copper but I tried to donate it to the state and they didn't accept it due to that I'm on disability and they told me it could be worth some money .... y'all thing it's something worth going and just take a whole bunch of honest hunters and scope the place .... check out my account pic, u can see it there

Please. How did you get permission to visit the mine? I'd love to do the same and only live a couple of hours away. Thanks.
