Only thing I have to point out, when it came to re-writing the press release, they didn't "Technically" lie about their finances between the two. The first one is obviously discussing losses which would be revenue minus expenses, while the second one is strictly reporting revenue. This is actually common tactic businesses will use to look better financially than they are. It's likely the hallucigen actually did have 1.1 billion in revenue, it's also likely that the reason they were 1.8 billion in the whole was they had 2.7 billion in expenses (hence the 1.8 billion shortfall). Yes I know it's trivial, yes I know I'm a finance nerd for knowing this, your comment is duly noted, now shut up and get off my lawn.

I got this quest while doing the side quest “ the lost patrol” and right outside the bunker with paladin brandis there was a dead scavenger with a note saying there was good loot at halucigen and to go investigate.
Sir Potoo railroad is one of the 4 major faction, the fact one of them have been inside that building is pretty big of deal, although railroad isnt exactly a big powerful faction like institute or bos, it still a big of a deal.
Darth Vader they dont need one of their agent to die to realize its dangerous. The locals already talk about how dangerous inside of that building. I feel like they have. Maybe its Travis talking about it on the radio. Plus. The railroad agent can just wear some kind of gas mask and explore the building reading the terminal and all.
Elijah Jackson hallusagen hides from the government vault tech doesn't and the government would know about all of Vault techs actions So no good theory tho!
I made the grenades and used it on the Gunners in the living quarters of Vault 95. It made ferreting them out of that back room easier as I had to deal with just one wounded one.
if it was the institute, wouldnt they have just sent synths to recover the stuff? things unaffected by gas and what not? wouldnt have they known about the gas leak from recon of the area?
Irony: Oxhorn spends 26 minutes saying how horrible the employees of the Hallucigen company were for experimenting on unsuspecting, unwilling citizens of pre-War America. Then he gets the hallucigen grenades and starts chucking them at unsuspecting, unwilling citizens of post-War America.
Technically, most of them are ultimately working, albeit somewhat unknowingly, for the Enclave. If there was such a thing as a "Bad Guy" in Fallout, it would be them.
actually he is spinning the numbers instead of reporting that they lost 1.8 billion he is reporting that there total income of 1.1 billion is better than they expected. thats atleast how i would spin it in his shoes.
They earned 1.1 B, but the overall balance (profit) is -1.8 B, which means that their costs (salaries, resources, materials) were 2.9 B. If you look at earnings, the picture looks great, but the profit is the number that actually matters.
"Without the messy side effects of our competitors offerings." I can see how this would 'peacefully clear an area of civilians' but not the bodies. Makes me wonder what the other competitors had to offer.
@@Licmebro but they are still pieces of shit they take any job no matter wahta as long as money isbimvolved so if u pay them to raid a village they will do it if u pay them to murder innocent ppl they will do it
@@Licmebro Mercs that attacked and nearly destroyed the Minutemen who's only objective is helping settlements grow. They don't even ask for money. They maintain their gear on their own and have to farm for their own food and water. It helps that said settlements are more than happy to return the favor and contribute back to the Minutemen but they do that on their own initiative.
The issue with pinning this on the Institute is the same as the Brotherhood, the Institute has its own army and they do use it to conduct raids. The institute doesn't trust anyone to do their job for them.
But Oxhorn, don't forget that you can find synths searching around other facilities in the game. If the Institute wanted the technology in that place, they would have sent Synths to retrieve it, it would spare them the trouble of hiring manpower. On the other hand, and this is just a bit of a random thought: If one of the factions, be it the Brotherhood or the Institute wanted to "scout" the area because they found the name "catchy" and wanted to see what happened, then we can also pin this either on the Brotherhood or the Institute. Both would need some "sacrificial pawns" for the experiment (it is unlikely the chemicals would work on synths, and I don't think the Brotherhood would waste their own people to verify the effects of the product).
The chemicals will only work on gen 3 synths as they are almost 100% human so sending in a courser would be a mistake and just standed gen 1s and 2s are not that tough compared to gunners who the institute finds them to be collateral damage as long as they get that tech so wasting synths in this building would be a mistake.
Lazarous hcizirG I wont disagree, but both the Institute and Brotherhood have a pretty low opinion of Gunners, so I am not putting aside the chance of the Brotherhood hiring the gunners and sending them in. Despite all this, its just my opinion. For the truth we would have to pester Bethesda for it. xD

hey umm, were did you get the pipe from that your character has? I saw Ox having a pipe in his mouth at 25:59 and it looks really cool.
Oxhorn yea bc later on it changed back to 34
18:00 the best moment in the entire video.
I got this quest while doing the side quest “ the lost patrol” and right outside the bunker with paladin brandis there was a dead scavenger with a note saying there was good loot at halucigen and to go investigate.
I found this location from an Eyebot wandering the Waste replaying a "looking for help" ad.
“You can either leave him to his misery or give him mercy.”
‘Instantly shoots the head and runs’
You missed the Railroad sign by the entrance to the building 😉
It was just a danger sign, nothing interesting.
Sir Potoo but it show the railroad have been in the building, realizing how dangerous the building can be and telling other people to not go in.
Sir Potoo railroad is one of the 4 major faction, the fact one of them have been inside that building is pretty big of deal, although railroad isnt exactly a big powerful faction like institute or bos, it still a big of a deal.
Lord Hobo Of Savior - Yet there is not a single dead Railroad Agent inside or directly outside the building.
Does anyone else think that hallucigen supplied the gas used in vault 106 from fallout 3.
Elijah Jackson hallusagen hides from the government vault tech doesn't and the government would know about all of
Vault techs actions
So no good theory tho!
Maybe
@red jedy ponton i highly doubt anyone other then the enclave knew the true purpose of these vaults.
Elijah Jackson I was thinking the same thing
I made the grenades and used it on the Gunners in the living quarters of Vault 95. It made ferreting them out of that back room easier as I had to deal with just one wounded one.
if it was the institute, wouldnt they have just sent synths to recover the stuff? things unaffected by gas and what not? wouldnt have they known about the gas leak from recon of the area?
I'm pretty sure that the Gunner's Note says that the Gunners were the ones that caused the gas leak. So before that, the building was clean

The big cheese of them? Hallucigen

I laughed at that when I played it through - revenue isn't the same as profit!! Good spin doctoring though.
They earned 1.1 B, but the overall balance (profit) is -1.8 B, which means that their costs (salaries, resources, materials) were 2.9 B. If you look at earnings, the picture looks great, but the profit is the number that actually matters.

I can see how this would 'peacefully clear an area of civilians' but not the bodies. Makes me wonder what the other competitors had to offer.
when you make riot suppression gas that makes the riot more intense

Despite hating Gunners,I can't help but feel bad for them for what the chemicals had done to them.
Gunners are human scum that don't deserve to live.
It's just one fringe group of them

That would be neat
The issue with pinning this on the Institute is the same as the Brotherhood, the Institute has its own army and they do use it to conduct raids. The institute doesn't trust anyone to do their job for them.
Except Kellogg.
For the truth we would have to pester Bethesda for it. xD
Oxhorn except he was a synth as well.

Oxhorn, I'm a finance major and the accountant didn't switch from $1.8 billion loss to $1.1 billion gain. He just changed the wording from net operating loss, which is the bottom line, to revenue, which is the top line, and makes it sound better!
Reminds me of Aperture Science and some other stuff
Aperture as far as I know, aren't really the worst people. Then worst they did was forcibly shove someone's mind inside a robot that couldmpass the Turing test.

So the Irradictor is the Fallout version of Agent Orange?
Meh kinda
argella1300 Except Irradicator has the decency to outright kill you instead of having it ruin your lungs, embed in your skin, and cause genetic defects for generations. I really enjoy your storytelling skill and the way in which you present the videos. Congrats on a terrific channel.
Considering the civil unrest ongoing in the States during this time, it scares me to think how frequently Hallucigen products were used.
We know it was used on protestors at one of the nuclear power plants in Fallout 76.
I feel like Bethesda were saying "Everyone knows Vault Tech is really evil, but it's a bit too subdued. Let's make a company that forces a visceral reaction from our players."
@7:56 When you rage quit months ago, only to come back into a frantic boss firefight 💀
Oxhorn I love ur videos keep up the good work mate
1:37 The drugged water sounds more like Radithor to me. Radithor was a medicine back then and it was water and radium mixed together and it took away any pain you felt and it made you feel stronger and energetic. They took it off the shelves after one guy took too much of it and his jaw fell off because of the radiation. The more you learn. 👁🗨
I love your voice and when you go low, makes the lore feel like it's more deep and interesting.

Oxhorn have you yet to cover the Gunners? I find them to be an iteration of the ebony armor clad Mercs of Talon company. Nevertheless an interesting faction. I wish the player character had the option to join them.
Justin Farrar I always thought the gunners were from vault 75
Zeo Fox They are. More specifically, Vault-Tec trained middle school students to do military training with a combat simulation. That is what you see when you enter the area of Vault 75 that kind of looks like a little shantytown or if youve played BO2 Zombies on buried it might remind you of that.
10:50 no clever accounting required. Revenue vs profits.
