My first ever fx pedal, bought in the 80s. I put anything and everything I could through it; guitar, bass, casio vl1, electric piano, mics, reel to reel, cassettes, the dog... Shaped my journey as a musician in my teens. Irreplaceable. Wish I still had it sometimes, bit noisy though. xxx
@@KRAZEEIZATION Sadly I had a toxic grief reaction to my dog being run over after only 18 months. The immediate replacement (my kid sister's dog) was a yappy wee rat and all the band hated him. So, into the kick drum he went; 1, 2, 3, 4, - never seen a dog move so fast. Ah, cruel adolescence, and the innocents that were trampled... 💩
I had one of these. I really wanted a Boss Flanger but couldn't afford one. I never thought it was that good as a Flanger but it made a really nice chorus pedal. It would also make a nice police siren sound.
I’d say these were as expensive as the Boss? I like this one. It’s got interesting sounds but the Boss BF-2 is the classic no doubt. I like the HF-2 Hi Band Flanger also. It’s a pity they replaced the BF-2 with that awful digital BF-3. I’d say a Waza is in the pipeline!
I just got a vintage one for $20, will be here at the end of the week, So this pedal, a tele and a little tight delay and a hint of reverb, and I'll be playing Zenyatta Mondatta
Thank you. It’s Em7 at 7th fret barre chord down to Dm7 in a kinda reggae rhythm, then the last chord I just can’t figure out!!!!😅 it’s a great flanger and the Boss BF-2 gets a lot of praise but I think this is clearer and sounds far better.
The settings @5:00 are almost what I use in my Retro
80's band for Police and pretenders songs

The dog!😄

@@fergusryan1486 wow you are a closeted sociopath aren’t you?
"the dog" hahaha I remember experimenting with similar stuff back in the 80s

Great sounding flange! especially with the regen set low.
🌟
i managed to pick one of these up at an estate sale for 20 dollars cant wait to test it out
I was shocked to find just now how much this pedal now costs. It's almost 6 times as much as when I bought mine back in the 80's
I pulled a used one for around €60 on eBay!
@@KRAZEEIZATION I forgot to mention, I agree with you about this pedal. It sounds so clean. Much better than most others.
@@djGreenALERT I like it and there’s lots of range in the dials!
@@djGreenALERT did you adjust for inflation? lol
Do you know how different this one is from the fl301 and the fl301dx?
I haven’t a clue. I’ve never used the two you mention as they’re rarer than these, have different chips and circuit. They also have only 3 controls.
Boom! Morrissey Jack the Ripper tone!!! Wry cool!
Sounds like Andy Summers on Invisible Sun and De Do Do Do

Nice vid and nice sound! What are the chords you are playing starting around 1:30?

Any volume drop or jump?
Not that I noticed. The old Ibanez 9s are great pedals.
@@KRAZEEIZATION Thanks how about the bypass tone?
To be totally honest things like that don’t bother me at all. This sounds superb for a flanger!
Put OD or high gain in front an go to the moon! Ace rocket ride!
I like it!
Me gusta más el Ibanez Flanger DFL
