According to FWC you don't actually have to kill snakeheads, you can release them, although it is encouraged to harvest them. But they're already an established species, and no impact on native sport fish has been reported since their introduction. Same thing goes for snakehead in the Washington area.
The toad being an invasive species is a valid reason to kill it. Since it disrupts the food chain and kills native animals and pets. Should've squished it.

I work side by side with FDOT (I'm a utility surveyor) and see it all the time, people going into the hand holes/pull boxes (those concrete 'trap doors' in side walks you'll see em by street light posts that hang the green lights in lanes) and those grates, it's a saftey hazard and city property/DOT property. it’s not too uncommon to find fish in a pool. me and my cousin live in florida and we found a peacock bass in a pool. Also you can catch them out of sewers so i doubt that this is setup.

in Malaysia it is called 'haruan' and mostly live in rivers and paddy fields. It is a very tough fish and can survive in harsh condition, very hot weather etc. It can live without water longer than most fish. It's perfect for curry.

Don't fish in the sewer! In the storm drain!!! The brown peanut stink fish may be local (fortunately not found in the storm drain, just the sewer) but it is the most invasive OF ALL! They NEVER run out! There's always more coming along. Easy to catch, they don't put up ANY fight at all & no bait needed!

I'd put up some warning cones or something around that open hole. Especially because you abandon it to save a fish (you're not supposed to anyway) anyone, especially a curious child could have come to see what's going on and injured themselves.

That rotting carcass just floated out there in the 90 degree southern Alabama heat and stunk SO BAD. That damned fish seemed to be between 4-5' long, so prob almost the same length as the wingspan of the osprey, and it must've been at least 1.5' wide (bloated; with its eyes protruding out in an ungodly way). As further testament to its immense size, it took the very sizable turtle population almost an entire week to eat the entire thing, and these aren't small turtles. I didn't even know fish could get that big in a small lake- how terrifying. In Louisiana we just don't have these kinds of problems, lol. 🐊 ⚜️🐊⚜️🐊⚜️🐊
