Your armor has most probably been stolen by piglins, so there is still a chance to get it back. The piglin wearing netherite will give you back your armor if you give it a set of gold armor. It should still be around that same area.
When a person dies in nether and that too in bastion then the piglins can even wear his rest of the armour it is actually possible bbs could have checked.
