Howdy partner. What a trail blazing restoration. Wild horses couldn’t drag me away from watching every moment. Wonderfully Western Barbie is ready for another go at the rodeo! 🩷🌷🩷
I don't have any of these dolls. I love her glo up that you gave her. I need to get a crimp iron so I can recrimp some of my dolls hair. I enjoyed this video and can't wait to see what you do next.❤❤❤
I have all three. Barbie, Ken and Tara Lynn. Tara Lynn, by far, my favorite. She is a beauty. I am partial to brunettes though. Great job with the glow up...she is gorgeous!!!❤😊
She looks fabulous after the glowup! The new earrings are nice too and fit her aesthetic. I've only had this doll with broken earrings. I have Tara Lynn too with the Cowboy hat earrings, but when she arrived, it turned out that someone gave her a bad haircut, so she needs to be rerooted. I don't remove earrings, unless I want to transfer them to avoid the breakage. If the doll's earrings have been removed a long time ago, it's really difficult to put a new one in. I've struggled with that too. I hope someone can send you the other half. It was nice seeing the mini Western Stampin' Barbie shortly.
The trio together looks quite patriotic . The white from Ken's shirt , the blue and the red from Barbie and her friend . You did a great job of keeping the theme and restoring her while making her more fashionable . So cute !
Yes this was a great line! I have Tara Lynn somewhere, love her dark hair, red lips and Steffie face!! Barbie is looking so good! The crimping is just anazing!! Nothing says nineties Barbie more than big crimped hair!! 💜💜 She can line dance the night away in this great new look!! 💜💜
What a glow up! ✨ She still looks great without her original earrings, but I know that disappointment you feel! I still have my childhood Western Stampin’ Barbie in near mint condition, just missing her iconic hat. She was one of the few I kept from my childhood collection. Love her 💙
She turned out so adorable! I still have my Tara Lynn. My cat, unfortunately, chewed one of her hands so I had the brilliant idea to “melt it back into shape” with a lighter. Her hand is now a misshapen black lump. 😄 I still love my Stumpelina though, haha.
Omg she is so cute! She came out the year I graduated high school. You did a fantastic job with keeping the spirit of the outfit. Also, I was thinking, you could glue one of those earrings to a ribbon and use it for a choker... I had the original Western Barbie, ya know the one with the winky eye. I loved her. ❤
Love the transformation! She is a doll I still need to add to my collection. I do have the McDonald’s mini version but her polypropylene hair dry rotted and fell off so I had to reroot her. I’ve had these types of earrings break before and have usually had luck super glueing them back together. My splash n color Barbie had this happen and I was able to get her earring back together. You might also be able to use acrylic nail filler to get it together again. Much love 💕💜
Hello Arien, I used purple shampoo and condition in my Barbie dollls restoration and give the yellow color a nice bright blond color but don’t let staying for a long time because it turns into a purplish color…..Love your Chanel from North Carolina USA…….
A small tip about removing dolls' earrings: it is best to soften the doll's head with hot water (similarly to a boil wash) and then pull them out. It will go much smoother. And since you are an adult collector who likes to redress dolls, I also recommend snipping the "stopper" part of the earrings off with a nail clipper or cutting pliers, so next time it will be much easier to change them up. The stoppers were meant to be there so that kids don't lose them during rough play, and, obviously, this is not a concern for us adults. Otherwise, a lovely makeover as always!
Your techniques are superb! Your restorations always turn out SO GOOD!! Maybe you can take the boot earrings and restyle them? Like maybe glue them on to another pair? Like remove the stem part and use just the boot part? If that makes sense. Anyways, I also always want to know how on earth you got that doll that looks just like you??? Thanks again for another smashing video!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
🥹🩷🙏🏻 whaha thanks dear! Will try to make those earrings work, I just have to! And the doll Is actually a Ken fashionista and @bearlyunboxed repainted his face and the cap for me 🥰🩷
Omg she’s amazing! You outdone yourself with the hair this time 😍 I think you might still be able to save the earrings with a little bit of glue? I hope so…🙏🏻
Small tip, when it comes to detangling the hair, it’s actually best to put conditioner in the hair first then detangle. The air conditioner lubricates the hair and makes it easier to undo any brand and tangles and knots. Works for any doll hair type.
Another great tip is mixing part fabric softener and water in a spray bottle to detangle and work from the ends up. Because barbie has synthetic hair this method works really well with less breakage
@@Polaroid.pixie90 actually fabric softener doesn’t do anything really. It actually needs to shine. This is why drag queen use it on synthetic wigs. I have been doing hair specifically on dolls for the past 15 years. I used to actually do hair for far out toys and a few others. Number one thing. Saran is terrible. Dog brushes are pointless when you can literally just use a regular detangling brush. And heat tools are the way to go. Shine serum is your friend. Boil washing is fine, but using a steamer is more efficient.
Adding shine serum to cart ✅ So you apply hair conditioner to the hair when it’s still dry, then detangle with a brush, THEN boilwash (or dip it). I mean I know your work so any kind of hair tip you give girl, IM ALL EARS taking notes and everything haha 😆🩷
I’ve never tried a steamer, i’ll be adding this method to my tips and tricks! Love all doll collectors coming together with helpful tips and what works best for them 😊
@@Barbination no. You get the hair wet. Wash it. The put conditioner in and massage it through then detangle. Less stress on the hair. Works for all hair types on dolls. As for shine serum, only use one drop and massage it through the hair. If you use too much it can make the hair look greasy.
Hey There! A line before this one was Western Fun Barbie, Ken, and I think Kira. Look it up, I think that line was from 1989 or 1990. I have Western Fun Barbie and she is super cute!
Same thing happened to me with the pink collection doll 1, I super-glued the peg back and never removed it again from the doll. Try to super-gule the earring, hopefully it works.
I really feel your pain, I've broke an IT doll earring recently in a same place. But you probably still can fix yours - just remove stopper (so it won't stress in the future) and use glue or even an acetone as it usually melts hard plastic, just be very careful with it.
Talking about the earrings is the same response I had a few days ago with Pearl swimsuit Kira the neck snapped. I saw the pieces but one was missing maybe down the drain or it was boxed that way. I was upset but I fashioned a new neck for the body it still needs to get bedazzled into a statement necklace, I know big jewelry its the only thing I could do.
so I thrifted a locket surprise barbie and after washing her hair all the former hair structure came back. Either way I was really lucky or idk what they did to her hair. But since her I am always amazed by how this kind of hair structure can either "be gone" or not. My thrifted totally hair for example would need to be "crapped" (sorry, idk what its called in english) again.
