This has really been helpful. I was going through my DoA line by line while going through this session and everything checks out. Thanks for the additional ginger to get the Governor's consent as added strength to the document (I'll definitely work towards that).
Thank you for your question. A power of attorney is a document that empowers a person to act on your behalf. As it is with all documents, it is not just about the name of the document but the details in the document.
I came to look for your videos because I and my husband are about to buy a landed property and my friend who is introducing us to the area mentioned that we will be getting a lawyer involved to draft a deed of assignment. Your videos are coming in handy to help us dot our i-s and cross our t-s
Thank you for the explanation. I bought a property from a real estate company and in the deed of Assignment, its not in the name of the company but in the name of community members. Is there a need for concern? Since its the company that I bought from and not the community members. If there is , how do I go about It to rectify it and reciepts are in the company's name while the deed of Assignment is not. Thanks
Interesting. Was the deed of assignment signed by the community members? Did you do your due diligence on the ownership by the company/family? Your answers will determine if you are good to go or not.
@@naijapropertybusinesslawyer yes. It was signed by the community members. That's was how I got to know that it wasn't signed by the company due to the several names on the deed
You need a lawyer to look at the document and advise you appropriately. Due diligence on title is carried out by a lawyer who will investigate the title (ownership) to be sure the right person(s) are selling to you. Watch this video on due diligence here th-cam.com/video/EZt5-Uqfx2w/w-d-xo.html
