John Wick is one of the greatest action films of the last decade, and maybe ever (in my humble opinion). So I couldn't think of a better way to show my appreciation than to make a scratch built diorama from my favourite scene in the entire movie.

How much. This is the coolest scene that tells such a compelling story without the main character saying anything at all.
I live in Ontario, so I can even pick it up if you live close. I would put this in my man room in the basement with my knife collection display, near the chess sets.
Sorry, this one actually got destroyed when I totalled my studio a few weeks ago! Only piece of all of them that was irreparable (my workbench tipped over onto it).

Also, I agree re John Wick. I’m not an Action movies fan yet I love this franchise - probably thanks to the anti-hero character Keanu Reeves interprets so well.

Thanks! I made so much and keep using it for different builds--it paints really well too with whatever ground cover needs more rubble.

I was searching for John Wick related videos as I just did an introvert character breakdown video on John Wick on my channel and came across this. Your work is exceptional, you should be really proud. I know John Wick fans will go crazy for this. I normally see sketches and artwork but nothing like this. Keep it up!

I listen to your videos when I fall asleep bc your voice is soothing. Idk if you'd do anything from Harry Potter but I think the Giant Squid in the Black Lake would be something in your area of interest. Or even one of the many dragons or other creatures and beasts there are. I just think it would be cool and you'd do a good job creating it.

If you were to be given more time I would've loved for you to encase it in its own little room and have an LED as lights to really set in the feeling of the basement the scene takes place in, even still this was an amazing diorama and I love your works! Definitely my favorite scene in the movie

Really cool stuff man! I think the sculpt of the figure stands out as your finest work on this build. I would love to see what you could do with some added subtle nuances to the paintjob on him!
Thanks! I'm getting a lot more comfortable with painting (I'm finally thinning my paints, and taking my time...) so hopefully the future builds will reflect that more!

I think that green comes from military surplus colours all mixed together and sold to the public for cheep. But you make it look good.
I'd never thought about that. It's the colour I get when I try mixing paints for a sculpture, "just a bit more green... then yellow... then... oh my god this is just vomit now"

I think it is because of his fluent, stylish but also brutal ways of killing people, not 100% sure though

In the movie he isn’t actually the Baba Yaga, it’s just what the Russian group call him because of how ruthless he is

Where do you get the sheet for the skeletons by scale from you used to make the John figure?
If you google "scale armature" you'll get a bunch of different options, then it's just making sure they print out in the correct size!

where did you find the sizing chart you used at the begining to make the body?
If you just google 'armature scale' there's a million and one options to download. You just need to make sure that when you print them out you've got accurate sizing (just check in whatever program you use to print them out!)
Have you thought about doing any heathcliffe?
My dad still has an absurdly heavy, HUGE, awful goblin metal green desk! 😂😂

This is just great! What brand of clay is the green clay?
Thanks! It's green stuff, which is a 2 part epoxy putty, rather than a clay. It cures on its own in a couple hours and has a very different feel than clay!
