I feel the exact same way man. Let me not say football isn't the same anymore, it's certainly changed, but that's just how it is in the game. Eras come to an end (ten Hag ref) and whether you like it or not that's the beauty of the game. However I will say that my love for the game definitely has changed. I feel like growing up and being more on social media like you said has toned down the love I have. Information and news etc are just so concentrated now. I go online, it's just football. I go to WhatsApp, one of my mates is talking about football. On tiktok it's also football. I think stepping away and taking a break would help a lot
I lost passion many ears ago. Nowadays it's just a hobby. I still love watching good matches. But I only watch highlights, no live matches anymore. And I also don't care who wins anymore. If it's a good match then that's all I care about. Even if a team wins, if it's not entertaining, I don't care anymore. My passion is lost. It's just entertainment now.
Messi sends me into ecstasies and I almost get a heart attack from suspense and wanting him to win so bad. Ronaldo was good too. Now who's taking over when these two retire. Mbappe and Haaland. You can bet your booties I won't be watching them. They're robotic. Thank God there's Kevin De Bruyne, Alvarez and Kvicha, is a personal favourite. All three are more complete footballers than Mbappe and esp. Haaland. I think pple are beginning to catch on. Thank God Messi is still playing and producing miracles, even at his age.
I feel in love with football in 1999. 1999-2010 was my era. I fell out of love with football when when the FIFA got jealous of the Champions League and are trying to shove a World Club Cup down our throats and want the World Cup to be held in Saudi Arabia and rigged the selection in their favour.
I fell in love with another game when any match on TV seemed incredible, while now you have access to everything, the developed Internet and social networks have killed interest not only in football, but it was a huge part of my life. Now I’m not interested, the last 3 matches that I watched were the Champions League final, and the World Cup matches, I just didn’t care who won, the feeling of intrigue was gone
The new generation is acc worse than the old one. I don’t get how u can be optimistic. 1985s-2000s: you had AC Milan, Liverpool, Man Utd, Madrid, Barca on top and many more. You had GOAT status or near goat status players like Maradona, Maldini, Zidane, R9, Romario, Roberto Carlos, Cafu etc. Italy and Germany were also at their top. Teams now just look so lacking. Man City look like the only real threat. It’s just tactics now. Players are just mercenaries now. Say for example AC Milan, they had back then at least 5-6 Italians in their first teams, now it is just average-good players foreign in their team. Italy and Germany don’t produce world class talents anymore. Even the last generation 2005-2019, you have super teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man Utd (until 2012), Liverpool, Chelsea, Atletico and Juventus etc. GOATs like Messi, cr7 and greats such as Neymar, Modric, Suarez, Ibra, Xavi, Iniesta, Ramos. Look at Mbappe who’s considered to be the next “GOAT”. He hasn’t even won a Ballon dor , Golden Shoe or UCL While cr7 and Messi did. Compare players 10-30 years ago to today.
@@HashShYT You are so right! This crop is pretty weak, I'd say. Mbappe and Haaland on top. Good grief. And where's the character of a Messi? Thank God he's still playing. So it most certainly isn't nostalgia. Ronaldo has also showed that he may have a couple of years left. So their era is not quite over. I do wish the footballer would follow Messi's example. He's a paragon.

Bellingham has that magic, just watch him
@@bhvillaman4401 Thank you. I agree. Thank God. He's also more complete than the overrated Mbappe and Haaland.
@@bhvillaman4401 I agree. And he's so much more complete than either Mbappe or Haaland.
