  • In this easy tutorial for beginners, we will be making a gemstone choker necklace with three beads that are placed vertically, using the macramé technique. It is fully adjustable and easy to make. I've chosen Black Onyx, Howlite and Black Lava because they are stones that are believed to dispel negative energy. However, you can make your own combinations!
    Choose the gemstones you prefer and give it a try!

    So I made this, it took me a while to get the method right for making the spiral (user error haha) but I finished the choker finally & it looks good. My only problem is that it's too small. I could only manage 21 cm of braid so it's not going to fit over anyone's head except maybe a small kid lol. I checked my cord & it's 1mm wide, it was also 3 x 95cm & 1 x 30cm long, I doubled checked that. So do you have any ideas on where I went wrong? Or on what lengths I should use to get the right length? I'd love to make it again.
    Having said all that, I love the technique & your teaching is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

      Hello! I hope you are well. I cannot tell you how happy your message made me! Well done on making the choker necklace. To be honest I can't really understand why it came out so short. If you want, you can send me a picture to my email (you can find it in the "about" section of the channel) and maybe I can figure out they reason. However it is to fix it, the next time you will hopefully try and make it use longer pieces of string. I would recommend 120 cm just to be on the safe side. Anything else you will need I'm right here!!
      Sending you love and light,
      Crystal wishes
      Catherine.

      @@melyannacrystalsthank you so much for answering me. I did make it again, two different ones and used 130cm lengths & it worked perfectly. I got that length off one of your other tutorials for another pendant.
      Thank you again, you’re a gem. I’m hooked now, thanks to you.

    just beautiful! 😻 may I know the size of the board beneath?

      @melyannacrystals  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! The size of the board I always use is 40cm x 30cm (approx. 15.8 x 11.8 inches) measuring the little wooden frame it has around it. I think it gives me flexibility for many different designs. But, to be honest, a smaller one will do as well! 🙏

      I use 1mm waxed polyester cord. I hope I've helped! 🙏🏻
