Avery Piano co. located in Providence, Rhode Island uses a stair-climbing robot to carry pianos upstairs.
In this video, the Italian made robot carries 550 pound upright upstairs with ease. This all-new robot can manage loads up to 900 pounds up unlimited amounts of stairs. the battery can last up to 13 hours of constant stair climbing. The robot has rubber tank tracks on the bottom and can be used on all surfaces. The value of this machine is as it carries the load up the stairs, it balances the weight so it levels the load. By leveling the load as it climbs the user only as to push a button to keep the load climbing up the stairs.
