My God what a performance.. better than ever. In his passion he snapped a hiigh E string. Thank you for uploading this incredible performance and most of all thank you Justin and band!
I saw him perform last night in Nashville at TPAC. What a great show!! Justin still has an amazing voice. Go and see him if he comes anywhere near you!!!
This classic song lives on. Justin was born to sing, born to write, and born to perform. Playing a 12-string guitar, no less, his voice captures your heart and soul. I've been listening to the Moody Blue's all my life, and Justin's solo work is as solid and profound as ever. ❤️
A funny thing happened to me last September. I went to see Justin performing at Swindon. I come from St. Albans and got talking to a couple from Swindon . It turned out we went to school together in Hertfordshire 55 years ago .
I absolutely love Justin Hayward. I saw him in 2016 as a birthday gift from my daughter, We had so much fun. It was a small little theatre in WA and they sold wine. OMG was the audience having a good time!!
The one and only JH with his three fine musician friends, 2 on keyboards and one on guitar, assisting JH to give a truly wonderful version of Nights In White Satin. Of course nothing beats the original version by the magnificent Moody Blues but JH on this solo tour gives an inspirational and fantastic version of the classic. I also think that keyboards and guitars sound wonderful together pity about not having a flute player on this song however as it would have been even better with Norda. Many many thanks for posting this video- Most certainly will purchase the DVD when it comes out on the 25th of August. Tony.
finally got to see him(them )in concert for my 60 th. 2 years ago waited 45 years...but it was worth the wait...great concert... thank you moody blues for great music
Iam 62 at the time of writing this, I was blessed with the most beautiful music written thru the decades I was spoiled like many of my generation, unique, now more than ever I am convinced nothing that will come close to this would ever be created, i see it and feel it as a heartbeat diagram slowly dying
Beautiful and sad at the same time, I saw him sing it on The Blue Cruise. He is still amazing! Mike Dawes was with him, words can't descript his guitar talent.
Mike Dawes adds something new and magical to the middle eight with his virtuoso guitar solo. Saw JH at St Albans UK last night on the last date of his tour before flying off to New Zealand and Australia (You Lucky People). Superb show
the video is great...they are all so cute and funny on it...the camera on the guitars was a cool idea...so happy to have been able to make it to a show
Amazing that he broke a string. I heard him say in an interview that it only happens maybe once every ten years! I’ve seen him in concert over 50x and just adore the man. ❤️
Great song and guitar work from both of them. The younger musicians probably weren't even born when the song came out, so that's pretty cool. I'm going to see the Moody Blues in a couple of days so I'm getting excited about the concert, I haven't seen them in a long time like 20 years or so.
This song is over 50 years old and his voice sounds like it hasn't aged at all. Underrated vocalist.
Number 1 best ever my sons name after my idll
This man can sing and no matter how many times he sings this song, he sings it with such passion.
Fabulous. It could be 1967. Justin's voice is as powerful as it ever was.
It was 68 but I see your point
My God what a performance.. better than ever. In his passion he snapped a hiigh E string. Thank you for uploading this incredible performance and most of all thank you Justin and band!
I think it was the octave G string rather than the E
holy cow. he sounds incredible! One of the best preserved voices I've heard.
He has indeed. And Mike Dawes is a once in a lifetime talent.
And he smokes
@@sandragrace4613 Wow. Did not know! Kinda throws out that whole ruining-your-voice theory!
Grew up with this song and that sounds more beautiful than I have ever heard it - almost cried.
Did cry
IT'S GREAT SONG. I have an original vinyl single
I saw him perform last night in Nashville at TPAC. What a great show!! Justin still has an amazing voice. Go and see him if he comes anywhere near you!!!
Omg omg omg his pure beautiful voice never changes. One beautiful talented man x
So much soul in his voice, he's so much more than just a good singer.
Wow.....how is this even possible, to be this good after all these years.
And he smokes
How does Justin get better as he get's better, dang !

The greatest song of all time with a spectacular new version. This song belongs in the rock and roll hall of fame.

And if you ever get the chance make sure you get to see Mike Dawes . He is one of the greatest percussive fingerstyle guitarists you will ever see.
I absolutely love Justin Hayward. I saw him in 2016 as a birthday gift from my daughter, We had so much fun. It was a small little theatre in WA and they sold wine. OMG was the audience having a good time!!
Mike does an awesome job substituting flute for guitar....Bravo!!
Justin Hayward has a beautiful voice
4:46 So much power in this song, even guitar string cant handle such emotion and break off.
Nice Taylor 12-string in bright Big Leaf Maple-great rhythm guitar work JH!

NO better guitar playing by anyone. Justin and Mike compliment each other perfectly...
