Just a comment on my own personal experience, I financed a Toyota Vigo Prerunner four-door pickup through Toyota leasing in 2014, and a Toyota Altis Hybrid "Safety" through TTB financing in 2021. I am on a long-stay visa, and I do have verifiable US pension income. I did not find automobile financing in Thailand all that difficult. I didn't find putting my vehicles in my own name all that difficult either, but I do have my own yellow house book. When I moved here in 2011, my last US car was a Ford Expedition, and my first Thailand vehicle was that big Toyota pickup. After living here for a while, my second car was much smaller. 555 I gave the pickup to my wife after I finished paying for it, since she's the one who's always dreamed of a big "Isaan Special" pickup. If you Google yearly sales figures in Thailand, Toyotas are the most purchased vehicle here in Thailand by a fairly wide margin.
I'm reposting this segment from a previous video because I feel that it hasn't reached the people that would like to se it. A new cover, this will make for an easy search for those interested in vehicles.
Enjoy your vlog. My thai wife and are living in Central California.
Toyota Thailand taking a beating from the onslaught from the Chinese NEVs.
