The first time I was introduced to Bernie it was in a magazine and I saw him playing a Les Paul. I knew without even hearing him that he was gonna be amazing. This guy has it all.The talent, the look in the eye, the personality.Doesnt even have to say a word to get an applause. Quite underrated. I love the dude. Mick Moody, too.
3 things I regret not doing when I was young. Not buying a Les Paul. Not buying a Strat. And not buying shares in McDonald's at the I.P.O. of 20 dollars! Rest in peace Bernie.
Just been to an event in Tring where Bernie talked about parts of his life and played a few songs. Really nice down to earth guy who plays great guitar and has nice tone to his voice. Interesting stories, is there anyone he hasn't met or played with!😊 Was great to hear about his recent get together with Peter Green for example. He has a book out soon, my dad has purchased for my birthday and am looking forward to reading more detail about his journey.
They were good friends and admired each other for many years, having first met in the late 60's before Bernie was famous. The look was something that was just natural, but by Bernie's own admission, he did all he could to add to the obvious similarity... \m/ (:o)
They were - have heard Bernie tell stories of their friendship during gigs, and I believe he has at least one of Rory's guitars, given to him by the family
I could go on for longer about that guitar! better yet, the Greenie! Originally Peter Green's, then Gary Moore owned it, now Kirk Hammet has it...Picked it up for the fee of 2 million bucks...
mrash03 Oh I know. It’s amazing. I mean there seems to be a point in time over and over when one special one is granted some kind of pass. I am loving Bernie Marsden. I did not grow up with him at all. He just kinda has a certain passion. I gave Bob Dylan 40years. He deserves it. I’m loving finding other greats on you tube...which will probably change..you tube..
RIP dear Bernie, we love you for ever mate !
Omg. His voice. So good.
He was the Heart of Whitesnake.
Yep!
he and Mickey Moody
I don't think I've ever seen Bernie without a smile on his face!

I'm in a dark place started jiggling my phone found this tune kept me level xxxx
Bernie,, the soul of Witesnake
If he had played on stage together with Rory Gallagher, I wouldn't have told them apart. RIP Bernie.
The golden Age🎤🎸 of British Blues !
Great performance, love Bernie's voice, he was an incredible musician!
This is the Best of the Best of the song, the band, the music, and Bernie. Simply thrilling🎼🎼🎼🎸🎸🎸

Bernie Marsden R.I.P
The band is everything fantastic
This man is incredible.
Elvis Presley also did this song in the Aloha from Hawaii concert from 1973. It was written and originally recorded by James Taylor.
Bernie was a great singer as well being a top notch guitar player....🎸🎸🎸

Well I’ve saved this and viewed about a dozen times.... just all out fun and great!

Very good playing,blues/friend ✍😜🖖
Bernie Marsden - Steamroller Blues!!
ძალიან საინტერესოა. ეს ტრიო (Paice, Ashton,Lord) გაცილებით უფრო ინტელექტუალურ მუსიკას ქმნიდა, ვიდრე Whitasnake .
Omg wow!
not just a great guitar player, he also has a pretty good singing voice.
John Miller I think it's great
Fabulous voice.
Thank you JB for introducing here!
- Simply The True 🎸 From White 🐍 🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
the beast
Yes SIR!
Bernie's vocals remind me of the late and much missed Rory Gallagher....
JON LORD
RIP BERNIE
That guitar, fioew
RIP
They should have given Marsden more credit, they could have been PALM.
I agree with CR - I thought young Bernie WAS Rory at first glance! Two pickers from the top of the pile!!
young Bernie looks like Rory Gallagher they could have been mates probably where. Bernie's LP and Rory's strat
As Bernie readily admits he was doing his best to look like Rory at the time

Any idea the date of this show? Thx for sharing!
+Birchblaze might be around 77.
I think the brass section is unnecessary, but that's just me.
agree, blues guitar and let it roll
Actually his guitar....who knows about that?
what do you want to know about "the Beast"? That's his guitars name. '59 Les Paul, used to be Eric Claptons...

He just seems such a nice guy in interviews, very modest.
