I always see The Agnes Circle in various Post-Punk mixes. That band was so damn good and ended too damn soon. Every band I've ever been in that had male and female members, we always agree to no internal dating. The Agnes Circle is a great reason why love makes and breaks great music.

There's enough notable projects in this genre alone where it's been on, and enduring. Against your point the landscape is littered with all cis dude projects with more drama than decades of Mexican soap operas
