i'm currently studying civil engineering majoring in construction management. the segment in which PR boys are talking about the contractors adding hidden mark-ups on their estimates is actually true and tinuturo rin ng ibang professors on how will you do that. fortunately, our profs gave us a heads up on these things and sinabi samin na pahalagahan parin ang integrity sa field of work namin. construction is EZ paldo industry especially kung magaling kang magpaikot ng pera and makisama sa ibang contractors to make them subcontractors. the thing about the roads are being repaired even they are in good condition is that there is this study that roads nowadays in philippines do have "expiration dates" na hindi nagmamake sense. and roads do have the tendency to have potholes if the process of compaction wasn't done very well not only because kulang or konti ung bakal. and since one of the reason ay ung isang part ng proseso. it just reflects on how we, filipinos like to skip steps just to make it faster (na hindi naman talaga bumibilis) and in the long run nagiging substandards ung final product.
My professor also said that based on his experience, no matter how much of a man of integrity you are, you'll be forced to get your hands dirty to continue such career
agree, Engineering student din ako at may prof din ako na nag kwento about sa engineering career niya na nag leave siya sa DPWH because the system yung tipong madaming work loads at mga kakaibang projects na pinapalusot.
00:40:50 - damn Chris. Can you make video explaining Philippine history? It synced to my brain very easily when you explained it. I never have thought that Philippine government is so young. Now it makes sense to me. I’ve becoming very interested in our history lately because of your explanation about Intramuros on the “TH-camr We Watch” episode of Peenoise podcast. I’m manifesting it. - Jiyan
real bro, when Chris explained it idk why how i got it so fast, unlike when my history prof cant even explain the things so easily they make it complex while Chris use simple words and boom we gets what he is saying
What Chris said about our country being young is actually true. Philippines became a country itself pre-WW1 to post-WW2 (idk but correct me if I'm wrong). There's a lot more to know and I thank my minor courses because they contained Philippine History.
After almost 9 years of pr in the gaming house na inestablished nila, mukhang dadating na yung time na talagang maghihiwalay na sila. We treasure you guys, Keep safe lagi mga tol. Been a fan since h1z1. Hoping na yumaman tayo lahat!
Hallo mga idol! A casual VA here, actually ang pagiging VA is depende sa skills na meron ka. For example pde ka maging video editor, telemarketer, social media manager etc etc. In my 3 years exp as VA for a insurance company based in US (Indiana) nag undergo ako ng training sa agency namin dito sa PH. My previous experience bago ko ang VA is a smartphone regional trainer at wala ko experience talaga for VA kaya kailangan ko mag training hahaha. Since di naman mandatory dito sa PH ang insurance unlike sa US na everything must be under a insurance mahirap siya sa umpisa lalo na yung mga terminology na kailangan mo sauluhin hahaha. Pero pag nasanay kana everything is just a piece of cake bros!
I have the same mindset like Jawn during typhoon Karina. Wtf happened to my things? Oh, nvm" pinagtatapon ko na lahat. Like Jawn said, it's beyond my control. Nangyari na rin naman. Ang mahalaga sa akin that time, may bahay pa kaming mababalikan at may mga gamit kaming nasalba (mostly electronics na ang mahal kapag bumili ng bago). Edit: But ngl, that gave me PTSD
2. Most probably, election is coming na kasi.
Typhoon Carina was my debut(birthday), I woke up wet. The day I hopes to be fun becomes tragic, na wash-out buong bahay namin since it's not concrete and near kami sa river. We swam against the current just to survive. Grabe 'yung challenge no'ng birthday ko, first time kong umiyak as a young adult.
About what Chris said, actually binigyan naman tayo ng pondo ng US after WWII in order to us to rebuild. As what the other countries na nadevastate nong war na yon however the government at that time took the money on their purses. Corruption is prevalent back in the day folks. I’ll also agree with Nhil and the best example of what he said is MRT-7. Supposed to be 2020 ung completion but 2024 na di paren tapos. Ung project sa may North Ave nakatiwangwang lang which sucks.
Danngg. Tapos after years, sinundo si Ken na tumirik pa kotse ni gloco, and now everyone is leaving.. For the better good
There’ll be the time that they’ll have to go onto their seperate paths since now they’re getting old and starting to build their families. Let’s cherish this moments that they’re together when that time comes
never nang mawawala yang baha na yan dito, nauuna talaga kickback whenever may projects... may kupit na politicians, may kupit pa yung kumuha nung project na yon, may kupit pa yung mga mismong gagawa *like ikakalakal yung mga materials o ibebenta sa iba* THEN YUNG MGA MATERIALS IS SUB-STANDARD PA PARA MA-ASSURE YUNG KICKBACK :DDD

Share ko lang regarding sa Road Construction, It so happens na nakakuha ako ng copy of their manual for DPWH. They manually survey the road once a year for repair but major once, they would plan it for years. The most surprising is the tech is available for checking roughness of the road but they are only used it for main roads because hindi na nila sakop, respobilidad ng LGUs iyon. I am not sure kung nabago nila. But it tells you how bad it is, much more if you include darker stories/ sides of it.
I listened to the whole podcast while I'm stuck in traffic last night lol- I wanted to laugh so bad but I was holding it ALL back as I was sitting in a van with strangers who were also tired and were trying to sleep xD

And fun little detail you only earn ₱250 per day/shift working in a 7-11 here in the Philippines. Idk if it's still the same but I had a friend work there several years ago and she said that was the case
@@Chrxolio111 I know that ain't legal but that's what my friend that had actual experience working there told me. And let's be real exploitative companies exist especially here in the PH
After some months na wala, ang ganda ng new ep. Some thoughts regarding sa provincial rate, naisip ko rin before bakit di tanggalin provincial rate pero may napanood akong youtuber na nag explain ng economics bakit hindi basta basta pwede tanggalin ang provincial rate. Maapektuhan kasi ang small businesses. For example maliit na store then need nila taasan bigla yung sweldo nung employees nila kahit magiging same lang din yung sales nila, so either mag lay off sila or malulugi ang business nila. (Possible mali pagkakatanda ko but something like this) Siguro long term solution is idevelop yung mga provinces, which is connected sa una niyo napag usapan, para makasabay yung economics and kayanin na rin ng mga businesses sa provinces makipagsabayan sa manila rate.
true yung lumabas sa tiktok na napanood ni nhil, cuz last last year during pandemic nag wowork ako sa isa sa mall nayun, border ng pasig and rizal and yung place nayun ay may dalawang mall na magkatabi, the one that has provincial rate is Sta. Lucia mall located on Cainta Rizal and yung katabing mall is Robinson mall na sakop ng Pasig

I want to share in regards ng provincial and manila rate salary. I work in province for one year. Office job, and it was way too low the salary compared here in manila. Then yung mga gulay mahal na rin dahil inaangkat pa nila yung mga hindi naman tumutubo dun sa lugar namin like cabbage carrots and so forth.
