The event cards remind me of the mystery/research cards from Eldritch Horror. They're tied to the Big Bad, but with variability so there's theme without repetition.
This looks so awesome, I ordered it along with the Unbreakable Bonds expansion. I think I want to encapsulate the battle tokens. What is their size? I encapsulated the tokens from Arkham Horror The Card Game, and they were 26mm, I believe. Thanks.
At 4:30 do you not get the extra initiative from the Aggressive card? Or are those one-time use? If you did, that would have meant you could use the charge and the swarm would be at 5 damage. If I'm right, you would have won the fight in the next round. 😀
Ahh good point except that skill is in my hand not out yet. Sorry it is confusion to show which skills are in hand vs. played. IF I had that skill it would have been awesome!! Thanks for watching!

FYI, I stumbled across your videos looking for Spirit Island playthroughs and really like your style. Your presentation is great, as is the pacing. You played the con artist right.6:55 It says you may test to take the card as a trophy. Why would you fight her than test and take a chance at losing her?
Ahh good question. Based on how I read this, you have to fight the ConArtist. If you win she may still "slip away" so you don't get her as a trophy as you were "con-ned" so to speak. So you may end up fighting her for nothing unless you pass her test. Does that make sense?
One Stop Co-op Shop but that text says YOU MAY TEST. It does not say test you ability. Why would it say you may test if you are forced to test this ability, also it says when you enter combat not after combat.

If you were a combat based character and say did not have any cards to exert or a 0 at the needed skill for the test. In that case I would totally fight the Con Artist. Plus if you fight and win you will also gain 2 bucks along with the card as a trophy.
Shoot.. had another question.. how many skill cards should i actually have before I play? I am playing 2 players like you... The rule book was a bit unclear... Also, I chose all of "A" B and "F" cards for assets for the towns... Seems like a lot.. and not enough skills for "testing" abilities. Just want a PRO's answer to this! Thanks again !!!!
Aren`t you can go with your 4 dice drop AROUND the lake? Going UP by the ROAD with Forest\Hills dice, than turn LEFT with 2nd + 3rd with with plato, lastly 4th - WILD right in water spot with a quest... th-cam.com/video/ffab5trea7s/w-d-xo.html
you have to exert yourself to draw cards from the pile to test attributes? I thought you just did it and it either passed or failed but if you wanted to try again you exserted. Am I right?
Crap, I don't remember it has been too long and my game is in storage with all of this moving we are doing. It should be in the rules, or somewhere on BGG! What did I do? I think normally any exertion is NOT free, you have to pay for it but I could be wrong at this point. . . To many rules from too many games!

You want to pick 2 of each color for the skills, so two red, two blue and two yellow! Hope that helps!
