Daamn that was fast. Hopefully you got a great sum of money by selling it :). Btw what are your takes on heatshield around the exhaust? Currently there is not anything on my bike, but on my previous fairings the bottom had it plastered to the sides. Then I just happened to see your video were heatshield was on the exhaust itself.
I definitly was able to make a nice profit :) Allready both another Aprilia RS, not a 125 this time ;) Keep an eye out for that on my channel My exhaust doesnt have any heat shield. What you're seeing is aluminium foil which I put over the exhaust so the engine oil wouldnt get it dirty while draining it. It doesnt have a heat shield and these bikes dont need them in my opinion. My other RS125 doesnt have one and I have doen a few thousend miles on it without any issues.
Hi again mate any advice please,, So today was the first day I’ve managed to open the bike up properly, bike was nice and warm, gave it a good blast and as I got to the bottom of my hill the bike cut out, like I’d ran out of fuel ,,, so tried starting,, struggled a few times then when it did it kept cutting out, finally got it going but on the way home it struggled and spluttered to go past 6k revs,,,, finally home,, left the bike to idle then when I revved the bike it revved normal and sounded fine like it should when revving, so turned it off tried again and it revved fine any ideas please mate? Cheers Andy
@@2strokerides it cut out as I started slowing the bike down approaching the corner I pulled the clutch in and realised the engine just cut off so I kept the clutch in until the bike came to a stop, I waited a few seconds dreading the bike had seized, tried starting, it struggled a few times almost like either it was flooded or struggling for fuel, finally got it going riding it down the road but noticed it was spluttering and not willing to go past 6k revs, anyways got it home left it ticking over outside the house then when i revved it it revved like normal straight up to 10-11k revs I cut the bike out and it started straight away and revved normal again proper confused 😕, I’m hoping/guessing maybe a fuel problem somewhere deffo has fuel in the bike!?
Oh and might I add when I tried to blip the throttle it bogged a lil before revving normal, it’s the first time I’ve had the bike properly warm and actually gone through the gears with powervalve operating so it’s almost like the bike wasn’t getting enough fuel or something as it was fine going through the gears but as I started slowing down and pulled the clutch in to down gear it’s like I’d hit the kill switch type a thing pal
@@andyandthe2strokemonster942 I think it seized pall, sounds like it atleast. Can you do a compression test? This will tell you immediatly if it seized or not. If compression is under 8 bars its to low.
@@2strokerides ohhhhhh nooooo that’s what I’m dreading I’ll try and ask about tomorrow see if anyone I know has a compression tool thanks again for the help tho 😌
That looked fantastic condition I wish my aprilia was half as clean 👏
Restore it, its worth it :)

How did it cut out? Was it like just no power or did your back wheel lock up?
