Quantum Leap was simply a brilliant show that used so many different genres to propel the narrative and overall plot. Oh I do genuinely miss that show for a number of reasons.
that is what made the show work, not just the time traveling part, but also the unique chemistry between Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell, they just really clicked. The time traveling part was fun, but if the two main actors don't really click, the show would not have worked. Bakula and Stockwell really where a joy watch.
Yes but could they talk back to you and have a computer to give you information on certain events in time? Far as I know that wasn't untill they got internet on phones. Also the internet wasn't even hardly known back then untill computers got into every home and schools in the late 90s.
A couple of years ago, I asked Dean Stockwell what his favorite episode of each year was for "Quantum Leap". He said he didn't remember a lot of them due to his age, but "The Last Gunfighter" left an impression on him.
The idea was Pitched but they took so long for a Reboot that Dean didn't make it. After years of Fans asking too. Now they're doing a Quantum Leap sequel that _Scott Bakula_ is not even interested in doing a Cameo in. If _Dean Stockwell_ was still Alive both of them would have. Maybe not the entire series but a couple Episodes would've been Cool.
The young boy asking the question is so sweet .I wonder why those Mic are never audible especially when you are " soft " spoken like dean Stockwell seemed to be .
I don't know what people are bitching about. Dean's as funny as he ever was and doesn't seem the least bit disinterested in the convention. You can tell how much he and Scott enjoyed working together; hell, the friendship between the characters of Sam and Al is what MADE "Quantum Leap!" As for all the schedule changes from the network, I personally never had an issue with them and I never missed an episode. Back in those days the VCR was my FiOS! As for the way the series ended, sure I was pissed but I loved the show enough to buy all five seasons on DVD.
I too have all the episodes on DVD and it is my favourite TV show of ANY GENRE and Back To The Future is my all time favourite movies vie trilogy. Time Travel is my favourite type of Sci-Fi. In fact apart from Star Wars and Predator the Sci-Fi movies I really like are time travel ones. So I'm more of a Time Travel geek than a general Sci-fi geek although I don't like Dr Who. Most other time travel movies/shows/novels' main Sci-Fi is the mode of time travel with the rest being the logic of changing the past or the future without aliens or different dimensions as well in Doctor Who.

A friend of mine who is a producer for a local news show (and is a HUGE Q.L. fan) actually wrote a script for a Quantum Leap movie and it is AWESOME. Its kind of like the same thing they did with Peter in FRINGE. Al did live happily ever after but he kept having flashes of this friendship with Sam and the Quantum Leap project from the original timeline before Sam saved Al's marriage. After a while the flashes become more clear and Al becomes compelled to search for his friend. It is really good.
Well season 6 was suppose to have Al search for Sam in person. The new quantum my theory is that Al's daughter is trying to carry on his dad wishes of finding Sam. The last episode of season 5, Al says I will find a way to bring you back after hearing Sam talk about God talking to him. He died wanting to bring Sam home and I think the new guy is helping look for Sam.
Quantum Leap...What was an amazing time! Thanks for my happy childhood... But i can't watch this video...nostalgy... When i'm watching it I realize that QL is over, I grew up and Sam Beckett never returned home...
I'm a huge Quantum Leap fan and an even BIGGER Time Travel geek. Quantum Leap is my favourite TV ever. In fact I thought at one stage Al(sorry Dean) was going to hit the microphone with the palm of his hand.😂😂🎤🎙️Looking at this video I realise how well the parts of Sam and Al were cast as I can't imagine anyone else but Scott and Dean playing them although that might be a problem if a Quantum Leap movie was ever made. Having said that I would be the first in the queue at my local cinema to see it.

I read a lot and consider myself fairly good at judging a great story.I'm not just saying this because the guy who wrote it is my friend but the script was AMAZING! He has sent the script to all the right people (so he says) but still nobody has taken it seriously. I'm being honest when I say that I was sincerely impressed and am thankful to have read it... even if they never pick it up I think he should re-write it as a book. In my mind his script will always be how the Quantum Leap story ends
