It's very fun to see how physics affects the vibe of the dance even when the choreography was literally similar
because it's not demo ver, it's final ver
back then, there's this way of movement that is always present in dance animation of virtual group that makes it so unnatural. that "way of movement" is slowly getting less and less as I watch virtual groups in different generations, it's becoming more natural akin to how humans dance movements. one of the reasons why this is so smooth imo.
@Saeram MR Removed i said similar because it's not completely the same, as siu needed to take a break while doing the highnote.. plus, the avatars' heads were not moving as hard as the demo (maybe to make it look realistic as they were 'singing') so.. i would say that it's similar, but not the same even if both are the final version
I think is just the facial expressions and hair movements, the dance is really good on the AI version
@@assTssa It's definitely good, but they aren't AI. They are animated and made with CGI. AI would be like Saejin from Superkind. Mave is all animated.
I'm sorry but even when not comparing I could tell that I liked the one with real dancers more. The power and energy I can feel emitting from them.
Also wish there was one with real dancers!

It's probably mocapped with clean up. (Cleaning up mocap data is still hard)
Rather than the dance movement, I'm more creeped out by their never blink/unnatural face the whole time..
I know, just stating how cool it is, imagine how long it took them to make that.

It's not animation it's motion capture the people behind the idols are real dancers and singers but using motion capture, if you don't believe there's a short behind the scenes clip showing the real people doing the motion capture
I really appreciate the effort made to produce the AI idol but I believe the technique is still underdeveloped. The movement of the demo is just much powerful.

Me too. It's really hard to dance with the same energy and smooth movements. But still. Practice makes Perfect😘💪 I think some stretching routine can help with better movements

@@nightxmoon8294 Not really...it is ten times better with 'AI' (though there are real people behind the group, and too such much work or people behind it) because, 1. We can have privacy for the idols, 2. No underage idols, or diets. And 3., more promotion for animators, and a general good concept. But if you want real idols, go watch them.

If the body physics and movement are smooth like K/DA More, they will be amazing. Of course, K/DA is from a game company, can't compare with it. Whatever, humans are still better.
This is just a first move. Future Mave may be very exciting.

@@SHITPICKLE112 I don’t even know much about gaming but Riot Games (K/DA’s company) is one of the biggest gaming companies worldwide and have branch offices all over the world.
KDA are cartoonish, MAVE are realistic. That is totally different. They can't be compared, they have different genres. Difference difficulty when making the 3d and animation.
imo kda was alot more stiffer but then again KDA was made for a video game vs Mave
Game companies dont have very good animations most of the the time. Cinema does.

That choreography was uploaded on the channel where they show the demo choreographies, probably being a group made with artificial intelligence, they preferred not to modify the choreography, as they usually do in many cases with other groups. 😚
@@seodan1306 but i think the demo is from Nain Choreography, the one in Freemind is for the motion tracking for the animation
@@seodan1306 pretty sure the demo is from Nain Choreography, the Freemind one was the final used for the motion tracking which is why they're doing the same dance. so the dance went through the same thing that regular kpop dances go through (which is demos, rough drafts, then finals)

this is a polished draft version, one of the choreographer wrote on insta. Its up to the company that hired them to modify or adjust to suit their mocap performer.
Omg the demo dancers did so amazing they slayed this!!!! I'm shocked at how engaging it is to watch the professional dancers, they were so in sync and all the moves just hit so hard! Amazing work 💗

The thing I like is that this allows experts in their field to shine even brighter. Kpop is very selective especially with beauty standards so someone who is amazing at singing or dancing but does not meet kpop's beauty standards may not ever get the chance to debut as an idol. Or someone who wishes to be anonymous while being able to pursue kpop as a career. By being virtual, people don't have to balance all three and keep up with it at the same time rather it becomes more focused in each part of the field. This isn't trashing Kpop. There are very talented kpop idols who excel at all three. This is simply stating that it allows for more opportunities for those who may not have the chance to debut if they do not match all three to kpop standards.

If their faces had more expression rather than a dead-pan blankness, I think it would feel a lot more natural... Like yeah it's getting better with each one of their stages, but not by much.

I have the slightest suspicion that the 3d video is the real Mave girls, that the company decided to debut them as virtual characters but that in the dance practice video they showed us at real girls
Official version's eyes don't look alive and lack of facial expression so personally I still like the Demo/Original version and I don't know how many times I've watched.

I honestly can appreciate the talent and effort needed to model and render these virtual idols, however, I actually don't get WHY people would rather "watching" them perform than watching an actual human being. It looks uncanny and devoid of emotion. It doesn´t even have the charm of vocaloids or gorillaz it's just... sad

The demo is amazing!
The real dancers definitely give off more energy, it's popping off their movements. But the augmented reality performers don't mess up their makeup or their visuals or vocals with the effort of pulling off a similar choreo, even if they haven't gotten to depicting the same energy levels as the real dancer.

Watching this video i didn't even look at the virtual version once, watching humans is actually more satisfying, girls are amazing. I wish to know who the original singers are, kind of regret it's a virtual concept, this group would be amazing as humans with those skills.

For me it was more satisfying to watch the real girls, but it’s still very interesting and impressive that this motion capture group was created. I’m sure it took an extremely talented group of people to create them.
Why they didn't just make it real these dancers in mv looks great and they dance so well it will be a blast if they're the one performing.

Thinking 'bout it, the vocals are from real people. The choreography is made by people,the dance movements are graphic which is also edited by people but when it's the real people being idols we find the smallest faults within them. We don't see the real talents within them. Since they just made the visuals according to their ideals there are no issues,sigh.

Both options are very cool. The dance is complex and impressive. The song is very beautiful.
The pro about AI idol is, the company can put different singers and different dancers as one in AI model. Also, look from original person doesn't matter for them because they can make perfectly figure to AI model. So, a benefit more to company than real singers themselves.
They are not AI. They are virtual idols. Artificial intelligence is intelligence-perceiving, synthesizing, and inferring information-demonstrated by machines, as opposed to intelligence displayed by non-human animals and humans.
If there is something I hope to see improved in future videos are the hair motion and the facial expressions. I was fooled for a split second that those were live dancers, but the head gave it away. They certainly nailed the dancing, but making the hair less stiff would be amazing! Looking forward to see more from this group. :)
I think the hair motion (in the demo version) is quit good but what makes them unreal is the missing hairshadow. At other body parts, they matched the light-shadow dynamics really good!

So from an animation perspective, I think it looks off likely due to the frame rates they choose to render at, you can tell at some moves it’s feels to fast or slow. Even if it’s motion capture if you don’t render at the correct frame rate it’ll look off.

Will they go on stage in the future, clearly I like the human version so much better. The Ai version is fun but as a human I don’t feel relate plus these girls are super talented, I like their dancing energy

They are both nice. I congratulate the cgi team, the singers and the dancers with their amazing synchronicity and teamwork, this is a technological feat. The dancers on the right were amazing as well.

This isn’t the demo. It was a cover. The actual demo changes a lot of the official choreography.
Animation version is like a puppet show when its compared to the original dance by real human. It lacks of passion, vibe and face expression. Great jobs, cheer to the girls.

They could have just given this song to Aespa or a new human gg😞 the song is so good? And the choreo looks so badass when real people do it I mean just look at the demo version and tell me which one is better?! The moves looks much more intricate and sharp when real humans do them. Plus the AI girls are lacking expressions whereas the dancers in the demo version have elevated the quality of the choreo with their cool expressions!

Okay I like the group and I LOVE the song and dance but the whole time I had my eyes on the actual dancers. I think it's because I'm able to form a better connection when it's real ppl. I think I'll be a big fan of the music but not so much the group itself. I like the AI concept but we'll see
