    Excellent tour, it’s wonderful that they are so active in saving these buildings from destruction or neglect!! Kudos to their family for it!!

      @@VATravelsI think Stevenson Ridge outside Fredericksburg has done something similar, moving old buildings and converting them to places to stay….

    How awesome it is for this family to be so dedicated to preservation. There’s so much we can learn from these wonderful old buildings that you just can’t grasp through pictures alone. Thank you Chris for taking us on this adventure!

    Chris!!! We just watched this video for breakfast this morning. It was awesome!!! I loved every piece of it. Def going to watch again several times.     Interesting. I've been past Charles City but not to it. The house and outbuildings look more like SW VA than E VA. Speaking of SW VA, you should consider Burkes Garden, if you haven't been there already. It was the original location choice for the Biltmore. If my memory serves me, that plan was ditched when it was determined that the topography would not allow a train carrying building supplies to enter the bowl.
