Wow, Of Kingdom and Crown really shot up the list for you pretty quick! I'm not going to argue, it's a great album. With time, could see it potentially moving up my rankings.
Thanks for the comment!
@@NoneMoreMetal i have listened to this record almost 50 times :-) It grows with every turn.
But I have to say: This is my actual ranking today 29 th of October 2022. So it could change in future
The Burning Red is a fun Nu Metal album. I would rank it somewhere in the top 5. I agree with just about everything else.
I heard Logan wrote all the solos on Burn My Eyes.
That's an old wives tale.
My ranking would go:
1. Bloodstone & Diamonds
2. The Blackening
3. Unto the Locust
4. Of Kingdom and Crown
5. Burn My Eyes
6. Through the Ashes of Empires
7. Catharsis
8. The Burning Red
9. The More Things Change...
10. Supercharger
My opinion is definitely an unpopular one. I love B&D so much, I think it's way too underrated.
I respect these rankings. One question though… any particular reason The More Things Change… is so low?
@@NoneMoreMetal it just doesn’t grab me as much as many of the other albums. It feels a lot like Burn My Eyes done again and not as good. I do enjoy some songs on it like Bay of Pigs, but the album feels very meandering and is not one of my favourites. It’s not bad by any means though.
Not bad, but I would have "Through the Ashes of Empires" and "Of Kingdom & Crown" higher.
1. The Blackening
2. Burn My Eyes
3. Through the Ashes of Empires
4. Of Kingdom & Crown
5. Unto The Locust
6. The More Things Change...
7. Bloodstone & Diamonds
8. The Burning Red
9. Supercharger
10. Catharsis
The list seems fairly solid but I would have to go The Blackening, Burn My Eyes and Unto the Locust as the top 3. In that order.
I can’t argue with your top three order. All three are absolute classics, but I give the nod to BME because it cast the mold for what was to come.
i disagree with your rankings
I expected that some people would. Are there any in particular that you think are exceptionally wrong?
the blackening should be 1st
I won’t be lured into saying something negative about The Blackening. It’s an all time classic. I just think Burn My Eyes is THE all time classic, and Unto the Locust is severely underrated.
All of them are good IMO (catharsis being the exception but heavy lied the crown and bastards are bangers!)
Totally agree. I love every Machine Head album (yes, even Catharsis). Thanks for checking in!
@@NoneMoreMetal Np! Thanks for replying!
