I got to see MP perform a few days after this performance, and I must say Missy had a stage presence like no other. This song in particular really blew the roof off the place!!

I'm digging this Mannequin Pussy set. The vocal control is evident in every song but it's especially highlighted in Loud Bark. Amazing. Everyone in this band has chops but I want to point out that the keyboard/rhythm guitar/back up vocal/rock star is special in the best way possible. I'm def going to seek out and listen to more of this bands music today.
to top it all off she's also their tour manager for their most recent tour! idk how she does it but she's awesome
I used to put the work in and find my own fav bands, but now I have KEXP doing it for me. Damnit internet stop giving me instant gratification
That transition in her singing, from a whisper and building to a scream (2:15) is perfection
...and I can't put my finger on why the band's performances are so visually arresting

The drummer is my favorite part of this entire performance. As a guitar player, I get drummer envy when I hear such powerful drum grooves and perfect fills. Excellent drums and bass rhythm section! ☮️☮️

Saw Mannequin Pussy open for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Twin Peaks in Philly a few years ago and have been a fan ever since. Great band and love how they’ve developed their sound and style over the years
There's something so mesmerizing about the contradictory lyrics and impactful when she sings the chorus: "I GOT A LOUD BARK, DEEP BITE!!"; is so raw and primal along with her powerful body language...best performance I've seen in a long time...damn, love this so much!!!!

This song has been earworming since I watched this last weekend, the guitar undertones swirling around in my head sounding like The Stone Roses. Watching this again this morning, looking at the lyrics, there it is "I want to be adored..." - they totally know they're doing here! Great homage. Well done.

I'm 62, born in 62 and love this Band! A mix of Liz Phair and Punk. You go girls.
Another old fart signing in, 62 as well! So pleased this was the first track I stumbled across as it's the best and I can't stop listening to it over and over. I feel the emotion! The singer has such an awesome presence and energy, not dissimilar to Jehnny Beth from Savages (another great KEXP performance btw).
Few nights ago I looked up on Spotify, “2024 rock”. Found a playlist and this was the second song on it. I’m hooked on this band now.

I just stumbled on this, the best energy I want to describe this is when Cage the Elephant came to the VIC , obviously their energy isn't as viceral and she's not raging on stage but that was one hell of a show I will never forget and the instruments are doing the right things here. cant wait to see you guys in Chicago !
