- Chinese-owned social media app TikTok takes its fight against a US ban to the next level in the American court system Monday. Doug Calidas, Harvard Belfer Center fellow and former Chief of Staff to Senator Amy Klobuchar, joins Caroline Hyde and Ed Ludlow to discuss what to expect on "Bloomberg Technology."

@@stoneneils Not at all. Tik Tok is owned by our adversary that is trying to sow chaos and distrust within the United States. It is also a trade issue to the point where Tik Tok can come in the US market but somehow American apps aren't allowed into the Chinese market.
It also is the most common sense thing to do after we have seen China's intentions such as planting a spy in one of the state's goverments (NY) recently. Either you are not based in the US or this is written by some sort of bot. If you look at what China's intended goals are, Tik Tok is a very dangerous app.

Its not about security. Chinese only have about 300,000 other apps on the app stores. They are simply making a play for the $$. If it fails they'll just continue to hold stock and profit that way.
