    Thanks for all the great V4 Pike Peak videos! The Ducati owners manual really bites! It really helps to get torque specs and tool tips from your vids.
    Thanks!

    That used rear tyre really shows how many highways you have there. There is significant tread on the sides yet carcass wires centrally. You should only ride in that industrial zone which has more corners 😉😎

    The correct pressure recommended by Ducati is 36 psi or 2.5 bar. There's a bad conversion calculation in the manual. The sticker on my swingarm stated 36 psi. In the monster SP manual they manage the calculation properly...

    Good stuff Rembo. I got about 1500 miles on my PP and the Florida flat spot is now noticeable. Haven’t taken mine to Jennings or Roabling road yet but planning very soon to even out the wear. I too ride very aggressively so it will be interesting to see what the final mileage outcome on my tire will be.

    There is two things I will never do when putting this rear tire back on. I will not put the cone and washer on dry, and I will not torque it all the way up to 169 foot pounds. I'm going to stop at 165. This rear nut broke one of my breaker bars. After I torqued it to 169 foot pounds, I could not get the nut off. I also didn't lubricate the cone and washer. This time I did.

    How is it that you go through tires so quickly? My V4s is at 4,200 miles and the tires look nearly brand new. I ride the bike pretty hard, so I think, wheelies and all. One thing I do is use a precision micrometer to adjust the wheel alignment but that is just because I have one for rifle round reloading. That can’t make that much of a difference, right?

    • @alanoswin8827
      @alanoswin8827 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably biggest difference is you are using harder wearing touring tyres, whereas the PP uses sports bike tyres, a change to Angel GT2 on the rear and Diablo corsa on front would be a better alternative 😉.

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have three reasons for this. First, this bike is not the V4S. This is the pikes peak and it comes with very soft tires that are DOT yet designed for the track. The next item is that I did a track day with this bike, lastly I am aggressive in my riding which includes wheelies. When I owned a V4S I got over 10k miles on the stock tires.

    Strange one this, the Valve is normally the heaviest part of the wheel, yet the balance weights are level with the valve, on such a lightweight wheel the valve would be more of a weight percentage than a normal one, it must be correct as it's from garage but very strange why you would make the heaviest part heavier lol.
