I love how this weapon ties into the Last Guardian novel, where Medivh says there was a huge explosion that formed Deadwind Pass--and now we know what caused it!
Also in the book, Medivh said he believed the explosion happened specifically because one day he would come to live there. Now that we know sending Sataiel to Deadwind was Sargeras's plan, I wonder if Medivh was right!
As a Warlock player, I can't wait for the lore behind the Demo and Destruction artifacts.
Especially Destruction.
I just wish we wouldn't have to sit through the kara part again and again for almost every artifact.
Don't worry, Demo and Destruction don't use the Dark Riders story.

He did call out the copy paste of Arc Mage and Disc Priest, but here I guess he just shook his head in disappointment and went along with it xD

I missed so much incredible dialogue by just cutting to the chase of "I WILL STRIP THE ANSWERS FROM YOUR SOUL!" _It just felt so warlocky I had to do it._ Thank you for helping me see the little details of this quest chain that I missed.

I like the idea that (since all Order Halls exist at the same time), there's a continuity order where Ariden is risen back to life by the same power Moroes has keeping him alive. The only way he gets released from life is Apocalypse's storyline where the curse is broken.

There are about 5 of these artifacts that have exactly the same questline, seems a bit lazy to me blizz
oolong Johnson The Kara ones make sense, so I'll let them pass....but the other ones that share locations are definitely lazy. (shadow priest, and holy pally share one I believe)

Lore wise it makes sense though, Tyr fell there killing that old god creature. So it makes sense that the paladin and priest artifact quest line would both be done there. The Karazhan ones also make sense since the dark riders are after all keepers of powerful artifacts. I just want to know why Sargeras did not keep them guarded better, if he was collecting them to keep them away from us to use against him, why not safeguard them better? My biggest gripe with the holy priest one (I think holy) is that the mages were the ones keeping it hidden and locked away. Mages are wielders of arcane not holy, they have nothing to do with that weapon and the weapon should have been buried by a lich or something instead of a mage council.
oolong Johnson The Karazahn ones make further sense, since Ulthalesh is bound to Deadwind Pass, The Scythe of Elune was hunted by the Dark Riders in Classic WoW, and Apocalypse was used by Ariden's father. I still don't think it's an excuse for reusing quests, but...

I honestly got the Affliction Warlock Spec now with the Artifact they get.
Never did I enjoy the changes to the Demo spec (I hate it now), and Destruction (Wasn't that great). But my Warlock I am leveling will probably stick with Affliction.
I really like this Artifact too. Kinda reminds me of a scythe in which Warlocks should be able to equip. By the way how are you liking the changes in Legion for the Warlocks?

It would be cool if aff warlocks got a unique death animation for the scythe.
I can't wait until you talk about the most powerful artifact in the game, the scepter of sargares, it was made to tear reality apart and teleport sargares, I'd like to see a puny ashbringer or cat claws do that.
Jonah Marx one is for slaying the thoughest undead/demons and other is for casting destruction upon lands.Scepter probably more devastating but it cant kill like. ashbringer :)
They have. After killing something their spirits wandering around the body. And affliction warlock can see them.

fun fact, revil is in the purple parlor. the only way i know to get there is pray that a blingtron 6000 teleport can take u there. the first time i clicked take me to the party, that's where it took me. i didn't see secret doors but coulda missed it. i had to jump down to dalaran below
I know it's an old video , but what is that chest armor at 16:40 ? looks so good on a female :p
So how does that play out in lore with these artifacts with the same quest? Do the warlock team up with the druid and the death knight according to lore? It would be something like we go on separate ways from the camp, then get to the same door. The boss fight is trickier, he would have to change weapons time to time or something.
Because if I remember correctly the Tirisfal ones have a timeline, like you kill the big buy in one, then see the corpse in the next.

Question, what is stopping Kahdgar from taking control of the Darkriders? Or breaking their curse? Is it because he can't or because he won't?
I'm guessing Deadwind Pass was named that way after Medivh blew up and the area changed, or was it before that when the trolls were killed and that's how the land transformed? I'm confused here. Pretty sure it was changed by Medivh...
Does the lore say anything about when your warlock dies? Like why wouldn't you be. Absorbed when you are sent back to the graveyard, although you r soul is hard to kill like a demon of the testing nether, many of their souls where still consumed, is it something like your soul is safe in a soulstone (I mean if that's it, it's a rather weak explanation since I could only imagine the demons especially the the higher demons would be clever and knowledgeable enough to do the same) or is it something else, just curious.

I'm a little concerned with Ariden's end. While in Nexus we just kick Balaal's ass in the same way and retrieve whichever artifact was there, Ariden's demise quite differs for each artifact and splits the lore. How do we know which of his demises is canon? I think I'll just go with Unholy DK, since it seemed to be the one artifact tied to him personally. It's just shame that it technically wastes the lore of all the other epic Karazhan artifacts.
I was wondering if in the general ingame lore the various class artifacts and their wielders coexist with the player one. Ofc there are not 3-4 leaders for each class but 1 per class would make sense.

Was mardum not already oblivion? How much weight would Saregars' ultimatum hold if they were already in prison. "do this or I will put you in prison", "um stupid we are already in prison". If anything the ability to go out and spread destruction and chaos should be all the reason the demons would need. Sargeras' threat would have been paper thin to them.
If Sargeras had already made contact with this world with Scavel why did he not try to invade it then? If he was able to pursuade him so easy why was he not able to use him to make a portal, I mean if he could defeat the eredar female who was supposed to be powerful he should be strong enough to make portals.
Nobbel, how tiring is it to constantly redo lore in these videos? Thanks for hanging in there for us, but don't push yourself too hard!

Unhappy with so many "copy past" artifact quests! Arcane, Disc - Nexus; Balance, Unholy and affli - Kharazan... they had so much potential, instead...
So basically blizzard going the lazy route by letting us the players set up to kill sargeras in the next upcoming raids. I hope they make it seem amazing. And i want to travel to other planets. That sounds really exiting to me. By the looks of it, the old gods are done. Blizz seems to focus on a climax endfight with sargeras, archimonde and such.

So far Gul'Dan doesn't seem to be an affliction oriented Warlock. He'd be more of a Destruction/Demo type, since we've seen him use something close to felfire to kill Varian, and he summoned a pretty big Infernal.

So did Sataiel drain all life from deadwindpass before or after the guardian built Karazhan?
Scavell and Sathiel happened before Medivh and I think it was Medivhs mother Aegwyn who built Karazan. Scavell happened centuries before Medivh if that helps.
whats the one class that has 100 % original questline for their weapons? and I mean also not revising areas where or recurring characters.
destruction and demonology i think
The Karazhan weapons are almost identical with some small differences here and there, and the two nexus weapons are virtually identical. Those are the most blatantly similar. The arms warrior, shadow priest, and holy paladin quests all end up in the same place, but the things you do and NPCs in the place are all radically different. Same goes for that demon world that a lot of class questlines as well as artifact quests send you to, though it's more diverse where exactly in that area you'll end up going. Also the demon area in Suramar has a couple artifact quests there, but once again they are thematically different enough for them to feel fresh. Ashbringer and Doomhammer, as well as the Destro quest, are very unique. Also the survival hunter one. Can't think of any others off the top of my head but I did leave out some repeatedly visited areas.
Monks have unique questline's. or the three specs quests arn't copys of other specs like arcane and disc. You go to pandaria for brewmaster and mistweaver. Windwalkers go to elemental plane of wind to steal the artifact.
Hunter/rogue so far from what I have seen. Hunter also has the more boring class hall quest and artifact quest lines.
Ariden has died in so many ways now. Which is the one that is canon?
Geez, a lot of these artifacts have histories of corrupting or devouring it's wielder. How the helheim are we able to hold them? We are going to have to wash our hands after Legion is over.

They had the same animations in Warcraft 3, so I think the similarities just carried over into WoW. Their races have no linked history as of yet!
