I think my interpretation for this music video is about Au/Ra's literal fears running around and dancing around her, slowly increasing in numbers as it clouds over. She stands in the middle, singing the song to further imply that she is trying to console herself with her fears. This can be shown in the video where she is the only person in the music video with a white outfit, while the others wear black outfits. The people in black outfits seemed to begin to circle around her, staring her every move, while she stands motionless. This could be an illustration of people experiencing so many fears and insecurities at the same time without anyone noticing, as it is in the mind most of the time. I think in the end, that's where Au/Ra really became part of the fear that she was surrounded in the beginning. The song could be shown to be just a (pep-talk?) or motivational talk to calm the fears down, but it evidently fails as she whispers in the end, signalling that the thought is slowly fading and disappearing. In the end, she accepts her fears as part of her, and she now dances with her fears, accepting herself in the process, hence dancing in the dark. okay this might not be true but anyone reading this have a good day regardless :)
Here we go , Now I'm gonna be like " da dance in the dark da dance in the dark " for the next 21 hours till I can finally see the video . . . Not complaining though 😝

Music truly is an art that can be interpreted in many ways. To me the people in black symbolize darkness. Note how the first sign of darkness is aggressive, intimidating. We never forget our dark times however we can choose to let it destroy us or just dance in the dark.
