Hi sir. For 8:48 , shouldn't you not connect the (green) graphs of f(x) = 9 and f(x) = x + 5? Or talagang need iconnect yung dalawa in showing the graph of this piecewise function?

Gusto ko lang po itanong kung bakit sa modules po ng DepEd, kung first 2 kilometers po ang may exact value (P10 for example), ang nakalagay na interpretation po for "...and each additional kilometer." ay d>/=3 at hindi po d>2.

Sir mali po yung 2nd sub function. Dapat po gumamit kayo floor function. Kasi po if hindi integer ang distance, magiging rational din ang fare which is hindi naman nangyayari.

Hello po. Thank you for the comment. I considered that po kaya integers (5 km and 6 km) yung binigay ko na examples as I was discussing the second function. Using floor functions will be complicated for the grade level and hindi siya kasama sa objectives ng lesson. This problem po is designed so that the students will have an overview of the real-life applications of piecewise functions. I hope this answers your concern.

Hi sir pwede po bang paturo kung pano po e piecewise function ang problem nato:
"Contaminated water is subjected to a cleaning process. The concentration of the pollutants is initially 5 mg perliter of water. If the cleaninv process can reduce the pollutant by 10% each hour, define a function that can represent the concentration of pollutants in the water in terms of the number of hours that the cleaning process has taken place".
