Mapex saturn drums sound better than DW drums! Every sound sample I've heard of both, Mapex is clearer sounding with more tone. DW drums sound flat / dead - and all the drums are muddy and sound the same. Saturn kits translate on tape way better. Just a simple observation, I'm not pushing one brand over the other, they both have their own strong points.
