From what I read, Taka had several issues with his father. Although his dad supported singing (and is a well known singer himself), he didn't want Taka to join a rock band. Taka left his home and hasn't talked to his dad for a long time. Fortunately they have a better relationship now. He worte "Hard to love" for his father and "Nobody’s Home" as apology to his parents while also thanking them for the role they played in his life.
