If you wanted something like a turtle with lower maintenance, go with a tortoise. My friend had a tortoise and she was really easy to take care of. You get a small to medium sized cage, since they'll grow to fit their cages, a heat lamp to go over the cage, some cage additions to make it feel more natural (Like my friend had a rock shaped water dish and a half log for the tortoise to hide under). I'm pretty sure all I ever saw her eat was romaine lettuce. Obviously you would want to ask your pet shop for specific details, but tortoises seem like pretty easy pets to have.

:D well... i don't know how should i say this... when i went to Cambodia, they sold many kind of food using bug as material, and they were really good.... :D, there were fried spiders, grasshoppers, larvals, scorpions,.... (they taste like butter, a little bitter and crunchy) :D still don't know what pet food taste like (and i don't want to know about it)

I checked, and you can indeed get pellets to feed these little lizards. They do enjoy crickets more though, but you could get away with feeding them pellets and some veggies.
