Just wanted to elaborate on what Kiwi said about change in hearing afterwards, especially if you're considering this modification. From a perception standpoint (I'm a psychology major and I took a class in sensation and perception; I also had my pinna reshaped for a different reason), after you modify the pinna (the external part of your ear), your hearing *might* be a little altered or weakened because the sound vibrations are being funneled slightly differently, but it will return to normal within about 3 days *maximum* (from what I can remember from my professor talking about this), but it's minor. There will almost never be any long term hearing problems from reshaping your pinna. I can probably find my notes if anyone is really curious on how it all works, but I just thought this information might help someone with concerns about hearing loss, etc.

I had to have stitches when I was younger right in between my eyes and I got to see the surgeon come at my face with the needle and stitch me up. I thought it was really cool and interesting to see what he was doing. maaaybe weird but oh wellll!

omg i had a melanoma removed from my back and was awake for the procedure and when the surgeon was cutting the flesh away i could feel this gritty feeling, like if you used scissors that had sand in them 😖😖😖 when you answered the question about if you could hear the scalpel it reminded me of that. oh god. lol

This may sound like a stupid question but I can't find the answer online. After you have your ears shaped or pointed and they have healed can you sleep with a normal pillow again. Or do you have to keep the pressure off the ears to avoid tissue damage in the future?
I would assume that you'd just have to be cautious when you sleep. I don't think it'd impact sleeping too much (:
When I had my ears sewn up I couldn't sleep on them at all for like a month but after that any pillow was fine. I would assume the same with ear pointing.

They usually put ones in that dissolve over time :) it's a lot of a hassle to get the inside ones out, so dissolvable stitches are easier
one of two things omg I absolutely love the way your ears came out I naturally have pointed ears thanks to my grandfather well slightly pointed ears that everyone teased me for as a kid saying I looked like an elf but w.e ive been looking into getting them more pointed for years just trying to find the right person near me but I haven't had any luck but after seeing the way your ears turned out I think I may just have to travel bit of a distance lolsecond part not trying to stir things up but did you know that your original vid to kitten play was posted by a Genevieve Elaine just figured you took it down for a reason

No I don't think so. I think she was having more than normal skin problems so she took them out, and I think she's planning to re-pierce them but I'm not 100% percent on that

My ears are more sensitive than the rest of me. So i call bullshit on the pain thing. Plus as far as i know, tongue splitting, implants, and pointing arent really legal so you cant get numbing or shit. Just know what youre tolerance is and think.
