Opening "Gödel, Escher, Bach" - Julien Desprez' Agora

Agora is the abrasive solo project of French electric guitarist Julien Desprez. Through the use of his guitar, guitar effects and amplifier, he demonstrates all the places guitar sound is typically not supposed to go by exaggerating the sonic defects of his instruments with playing his instrument more as a percussive then stringed one. Besides the very obvious exploratory nature of this project, electricity seems to serve as a metaphor of the human body, or of society as whole, made up of a myriad of elements seemingly working individually for their own purpose, though in fact functioning as part of a bigger picture.
