This mod was amazing, it was a passion project through and through. I have the game on my actual modded ps2 so I can play it whenever and I’m happy to still have a way to play it
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games except of Dragon Ball Z Evolution are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective.
Saying evolution wasn't a good game is saying Budokai 3 wasn't a good game and it wasn't but you're being a hypocrite. It's the same game but with skins lmfao
Yo I was never able to play budokai tenkaichi 4 unfortunately, because I'm a console player and never played on pc, but I grew up with playing tenkaichi 2 on ps2 and little bit later with budokai tenkaichi 3 on nintendo wii!! But as always, nice video again and I watched your previous review videos too and they were really enjoyable
@@spowden Uhh.... How do I put the mod in a disc?? Look, I don't own budokai tenkaichi 3 on ps2, I've it on wii.... And second, my old 4 gb ram laptop doesn't have disc port
@@jorkkakivi the mod comes as a modified disc file of BT3 you don't need the real game or anything other than a laptop with a disc and a PS2 (that sucks tho if you don't have it)
It may look flashy, but I’ll always prefer this mod. There’s just something… else about it. Something Sparking Zero fails to capture. Plus, I can play on any map in splitscreen. That’s like, 90% of the fun Budokai Tenkaichi offers.
@@tundrauzumaki also also, from what we’ve seen, Sparking Zero will have less characters and forms than BT4. DBZ Broly, many less important ones, SSJRage Trunks, SSJ3 DBZ Broly, many more Giant characters, SSGSSEvolution Vegeta, Hatchiyack, many original Dragon Ball characters, and so on are most likely missing.

holyshit i was the 70th like this mod fucking ROCKS. its so much fun and you can tell they put a ton of effort into it. I hope they keep improving and adding new rush attacks and characters. only issue is how the AI keeps fucking Z-Countering and dodging everything lol
It’s a great mod for casual play with friends, but competitively it changes a lot of stuff that makes it be hated. Honestly I love this mod and i’ve enjoyed it a lot, but some people would say otherwise
Not only is Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 an amazing game not only does it satisfy super it also satisfies the GT and Dragon Ball because they expand more on Dragon Ball day expand more on GT we get to see mods of characters actually in their GT looks that's all I'm asking for honestly more expansion on the GT story which you know in order to get people to change their minds they need to start retelling them more GT than keep focusing on retelling Dragon Ball Z you know I love when you have Dragon Ball Dragon Ball GT being expanded upon so it was always a win for me. And what's going to be disheartening is sparkling zero as good as it's going to be it's going to you know overcharge us for everything while the old Dragon Ball Z games gave you the characters like you just had to earn them or wish for them
Playing the English dubbed version of BT4 right now and I have to say this game right here Is better than any DBZ game that's came out since bt3 with only rb2 and XV2 coming close. The voices and everything in this indie version is absolutely phenomenal!
Only thing I dislike in bt4 is that they made bots better than pro players, the amount of z-counters and impossible to human vanishes in z-dificulty is wild. Some battles you literally cannot touch your opponent being forced to resort to ai and broken moves exploitation
Great review, only because of the Modding Community that we are getting sparking zero and Bt4 are big part of that.
I'm happy that the Sparkling Zero developers knew this game existed, gave it credit, and didn't name their game DBZT4 outta respect

Sparking Zero is the true Budokai Tenkaichi 4. They jus changed the name back to Sparking cause it was the original game for the series after all
