- Mumbai Airport Offers Free Transit Services From Terminal 1 To Terminal 2. Transits in Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport just got alot easier for passengers. The airport has introduced a free coach transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 of CSMIA.
The coaches are available to all passengers round the clock. At Terminal 1, the pick-up and drop-off point is Departures Gate 2. At Terminal 2, the pick-up point is GTL lane 1 - Gate G4, and the drop-off point is Dep Lane 3 - Gate 4 & 5

Sir. what about luggage if we are travelling On Air India from other destinations in India and taking Singapore airlines from T2... how will the luggage be handled? Both are star alliance... can you please advise? do we have to take the luggage in the free shuttle? will they allow it?
You need to check this point with the airlines. Let me share my experience when i am going form Kuwait to Delhi via Mumbai. I need to take my luggage and then need to clear the custom then again need to check-in for the other flight to Delhi. But when i am coming back from Delhi to Kuwait via Mumbai. this time Luggage is auto send to other flight.

Once it is clear then you need to take your baggage and take the bus to reached to next terminal . Please Check with the airline about this. They can tell you better on this topic. because when i am going from Kuwait To Delhi then i need to pick my bags but when i am coming back to Delhi to Kuwait , Bags are transfer by airlines.

Good information but Just one confusion,domestic flight of AirIndia operates from same international terminal (T2) so why you needed to change terminal.

@@Befikre7 I called the Customer service number and they said its not enough. Mainly because of time needed for International travers to clear customs and immigration and claim baggage. Also the travel time increases during monsoon season and that the buses run every 30 minutes. They suggested minimum 3-4 hours between arriving flight and departing flight time.
