You're a genius. I love up cycling, and I really appreciated the approach to designing using a variety of garments. You are speaking to the future of sustainable fashion, and I appreciate you!! Thanks so much!
Why thank you. I"ll print your comment and show it to my husband to legitimize the TWO LARGE BINS of sweaters awaiting creativity that are in my garage.
Thank you so much Londa, I really love 💕 what you’ve done with these garments. And of course it’s even better when you can remember someone in your family too
Very informative and you shared important information, especially about the stabilizing tape. I also like how you use the yarn in your pieces. I really like that you added using the walking foot to prevent stretching. I’ve sewn many types of fabric but have had some problems sewing knits. Now I realize it was probably because I wasn’t using the right foot. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a great day!
Also - when sewing knits. use a Stretch needle and a longer stitch length - like 3.0 and be sure to use polyester thread, NOT cotton. I have a DVD that is 3 discs long - everything I know about sewing knits. Here's a link to a page where you can find it: Stretching Your Knit Sewing Know-How, and also there are many 'combos' there of the DVD and my patterns that you might want to consider. www.londas-sewing.com/knit-top-sewing-patterns-printed
