Cap is far and away my favorite character so I'm glad you did this video. I own every issue that's collected in these (aside from the Golden Age) so I'm not in any rush to get them all but I do enjoy reading in this format quite a lot. Eventually I'll pick them up and start reading them again. Seeing that many omni makes me realize I've read WAAAAAY more Cap than I thought I had. I also REALLY love Silver Age comics, particularly Cap so I'm definitely drooling over those. Luckily they're more accessible so that makes me happy. Thanks again for the video, I really enjoyed it! Keep um coming!
I've got them but still havent taken the shrinkwrap off the last two. I bought them for about half cover price at conventions. They are starting to do more reprints of older omnis. The one that's hurting me the most right now is the Jack Kirby one focusing on his 70s work... I want it but out of print. Gonna try to hold out for a reprint...
Marvel have been reprinting the Brubaker omnis (vol 1 is out already, vol 2 in August & vol 3 in December) so hopefully vol 4 & 5 will be reprinted soon to!
My favorite aspect of the Silver Age Omnibuses is that they reprinted the Letters to the Editor Pages and it's a treat to see what fans were saying from 1964-1970, and well you had everything from Send Captain America to Vietnam, to he's too conservative for "modern" audiences to people wanting to know why there was a Captain America in the 1950s when Steve was still frozen in ice in the 50s (before MARVEL fleshed out the Cap of the 50s backstory as William Burnside and how he impersonated Steve Rogers and used a faulty version of the Super Soldier Serum that drove him insane)
thx gem I want some captain omnis. I spent $400.00 in the last 40 days on books, mostly omnis. It's just too expensive to keep going and I need bookcases I think. I will get more in another or next month. thx for showing off your books/peace.
Hey Gem, I got a nice deal on the last two omnis the CAPTAIN AMERICA TRIAL OF CAPTAIN AMERICA OMNIBUS and CAPTAIN AMERICA RETURN OF WINTER SOLDIER OMNIBUS. Should I take it, will it make any sense if I read the last two omnis only..?
Hey boss. Great video & I love your content. You already got a sub in me. Question: Which omnibus contains the very 1st Captain america issue or which omnibus contains its origins of Captain America? Something tells me it's the one with Jack Kirby. Can you put a timestamp on it for me? I just started collecting Marvel Omnibus myself this year. I got 10 so far
So im trying to get into comics and i want to read caps comics in order does the omibus have them in order or just different comic's for that era. What is a good way to read them in order
dud never tell me where you live . i would be coming for your buses!!! thanks for the vid. caps my guy loved seeing these. kirby's second run was like a what if. it had no connection to anything not the previous run or anything else going in marvel. its like another dimension. read the waid garney run you wont be sorry! the only cap omnibus i have is cap lives and im going to reread it tonight. btw do you have any bowen statues in your collection? he did some nice caps and a good falc. they might be too small you and your huge statues.
so since posted that comment last year ive gotten golden age, waid, trail of , the death of , and return of the winter soldier. the prices on them are pretty cheap. so im catching up
Has Marvel hinted at any plans to reprinting the Ed Brubaker stuff? It seems like the ones in your video go for quite a bit of money. I've never read that run, but I'd like to since I love the early Kirby stuff.
Marvel have been reprinting the Brubaker omni's this year - Vol 1 came out in Feb, vol 2 is out in Aug, vol 3 is out in Dec - hopefully they will announce reprints of vols 4 & 5 soon
Sad that Joe Simon and Jack Kirby were never mentioned as creators of Captain America. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby drew captain America comics #1-10 alongside other artists.
i get my books from instocktrades.com, but many of these are out of print and can be expensive on ebay or amazon. If you can, I'd start with the Brubaker run.
Comic Book Guy I don’t really see what incentive they have to release one. I don’t think the first volume sold well. Was it part of the liquidation books? No solo Cap movies are coming out...
These Omnibus editions are super expensive. Plus I've noticed with the Golden and Silver Age stuff they seem to cut off whenever Jack Kirby's involvement with a series has ended, okay granted Jack Kirby is the the man you think of when you think Golden and Silver Age Artist but there were other artists who worked on Captain America
why would you buy the old ones if you say " eh i bet its an ok read im not really interested in the old stuff " i never understood buying stuff you dont wanna read.
I’m a comic noob. Always loved them since I was a kid but only recently was I finally like “I have the money I’m gonna start reading comics.” I love captain America. I love him campy and I love him gritty like Ed Brubaker’s cap. I read the winter soldier and got hooked but idk where to go after that. I am reading them digitally right now just to see what I like but I went from winter soldier to death of captain America and apparently I missed out on a whole civil war? I wasted 10 extra bucks trying to buy civil war and ended up getting the same issues. It’s like I jumped way forward after winter soldier to the end of the civil war. I want to read the civil war! Can anyone help? Everything online is so confusing and I can’t make heads or tails of how to read these in the proper order.
@@GemMintCollectibles I thought it was something along those lines, due to context lol had to be sure though. New to the channel & to comic collecting. Just spent about 2hundo on digital comics last month and am regretting it already, as I really have nothing to show for it. Smh.. I wanna get into omnibuses, in your opinion where should someone like myself start? Not scared to drop 2-3 on something I can touch.

Nick SutphinArt glad you like the video. More coming for sure.
I really want those Brubaker Omni's back in print
Man I’m pissed that captain America lives Omni is so damn expansive. I really wanted to get all 5 of the Brubaker omnis :/
I've got them but still havent taken the shrinkwrap off the last two. I bought them for about half cover price at conventions. They are starting to do more reprints of older omnis. the letters section was a big selling point for me when i fist got into omnibus
Amazing and ... good job mate!
Anderson Rossi thanks!
Watching these videos. “ I need them. I need them all “
Why don’t they make a Gruenwald omnibus? Why no Engleheart? Remender Even?
It's a shame we still don't have a Gruenwald omnibus yet.
I live in hopes of an omnibus collecting Marc Demattis Cap run from the eighties.
The return of the winter soldier goes really deep with Bucky bein in love with black widow it’s got a great ending I think
thx gem I want some captain omnis. I spent $400.00 in the last 40 days on books, mostly omnis. It's just too expensive to keep going and I need bookcases I think. I will get more in another or next month. thx for showing off your books/peace.

So im trying to get into comics and i want to read caps comics in order does the omibus have them in order or just different comic's for that era. What is a good way to read them in order
This would be a good way to read in order

Do you think there will ever be a Golden Age Cap. America volume 2?
Jonathan Hickman fantastical 4 stuff and the ultimate are crucial for marvel cosmic. Please include that
check out other videos...ive done reviews on those books
Thank you. SIR
Does the Cap by Ed Brubaker stuff take place in the 616 universe?
You can rest now yes, but apart from civil war and fear itself, the large events don’t really influence the run much.
Sean Bals Thanks!
Just received the one by Waid, Garney and Kubert but, man, the binding sucks a ton. How is your copy? Same problem?
gotta check
damnnn son,, I need a library card to come check you out...
Sad that Joe Simon and Jack Kirby were never mentioned as creators of Captain America. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby drew captain America comics #1-10 alongside other artists.

Can you please tell me which omnibus to start first in captain america omnibus and where do you get this
i get my books from instocktrades.com, but many of these are out of print and can be expensive on ebay or amazon. If you can, I'd start with the Brubaker run.

Nice stuff man 👍🏻So any news when marvel will come up with omnibus vol 3,4...?
havent heard anything yet
Hey man, love your channel... where do you find and buy all your omnibuses?
instocktrades.com many of them are sold out now though
Marvel does a terrible job with omnis. Comics are dying, so u would think they would be ensuring the best runs in their whole history were available.
Top 5 Favorite MARVEL Heroes
