Hello, any symptons in the car that you noticed that made you get this cleaning done right away? thanks. I just wanted to know just in case similar problem for me in future. thanks
I’m getting some white smoke from somewhere in the engine bay after pushing my 2015 500 abarth. No smoke during acceleration or slow driving but once I come to a stand still after spirited driving there’s one big puff of it leaving engine and wheel well. Also doesn’t hang on the throttle too good so I’m assuming boost leak? Anybody ever came across something like that?
Hi eviltango, any engine light? Check to make sure you have no engine oil leak anywhere else in the engine bay if it is coming from there. Or coolant leak. Keep us posted.
@@car-lo hey thanks for the reply. Yea I’ll take apart the engine cover next to do a thorough visual. No check engine lights which is why I’m confused… Ttyl
@@car-lo Hey so I changed the PCV valve and the car does feel more responsive, also the boost seems to be more consistent. And since I'm a photographer by profession I naturally forgot to take any pics of video. I initially planned on doing a short tutorial but I completely forgot. Still noticed some white smoke coming out from the front but maybe 5% of the smoke it produced before. I also noticed the clamps on the pre-turbo intake side being loose. Does your abarth engine smell slightly burnt too? I'm hoping it's just the old oil gunk I sprayed off with brake cleaner...
Hi eviltango glad u sorted your issue slowly, yehp make sure everything in there is tight and free of oil leak, my engine bay smells like e85 sometimes 🤣 since my conversion. Keep us posted once smoke is totally out.
Thank you for the tutorial. I will be following this when the time comes, 44k on my Abarth so far.
My pleasure, ty!
Was great seeing something new
Man I wish it was this easy on the 124 spider
Seems like an aftermarket. Catch can would work better
I'll look into it I have those extra laying around.

Hi Gavin, sometimes during cold start u see white smoke. Since replacing it no longer have that.
@@car-lo I see. thanks. did it improve back the fuel economy? if you notice. thanks for the reply.
Yes, fuel and idle is much smoother including the throttle response.
is it fine to clean the oil separator with wd40?
Lol no
Lol
Whipped cream works. Has to be in the can though. The plastic tub kind wont work.

No prob, yes inspect on hot idle to see where the smoke is coming from.
