A lot of restorations don’t spend this kind of time on bodywork. Not only do they not have the skill to do this kind of work, they make up their deficiency with lots of plastic filler. When it’s painted and shiny, people don’t know what’s hiding underneath.
Each job has its level of expertise and I’m lucky to have access to both shops. Sean is actually Mark’s son so I get both craftsmen working on my cars from both shops!
It’s a few hundred thousand. Parts are expensive, and the specialists are hard to find and acquire to do the work. That’s why it’s so important to find the right people. Choose the wrong people, and you’ll still spend the same money, but with lesser results!
