Amazing tutorial. Got the syntakt a few days ago and it's the most fun i had with Hardware so far. It's so easy and immediate to dial something in - perfect little Techno machine.
Man I've learned so much watching your videos. More so than any other TH-cam channel. Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to put these together. You're a real one for it.
One of my fave producers. I just bought a Syntakt as my first device and then found out you use one, and you put up awesome videos using it.. Thank you!!
I can relate. I do live techno sets with Digitakt and I think it fits the purpose just great. It would be interesting to try Syntakt for that same one box techno too. It seems that you have laptop next to the Syntakt so you are not working strictly just on the Syntakt. Sure when releasing tracks they need post processing to get everything right but besides that it is very liberating to ditch the laptop and be comfy on a sofa and focus just on that one device. Once you know that instrument like back of your hand it is almost like extension of your mind. It is like a meditative state to get into that zone where all the focus is in the sonic exploration without ever being distracted by the gear or workflow. Another aspect of that is to be able to perform those sets at the local venues just packing that one small box into the backpack and setup takes about 5 minutes. After your set is over you can continue your night with friends without having too much gear to haul around. I think that minimal hypnotic sound you do translates very well in general to the Elektron boxes.
One reason to have the laptop close by when using the Elektron boxes (including Syntakt) is the Overbridge software from Elektron that integrates the Elektron workflow seemlessly into the laptop with visual feedback and multitrack recording capability. And you can do it all LIVE. Have you used Overbridge before? It's a great marriage between the laptop and the groovebox.
Thanks for sharing, it gave me so much inspiration and it's good base to know some tips for the Syntakt, as trig conditions... etc Also your track is so intense, congrats
if you get the Digitakt II I d like to see the synth engines sounds. Can it replace the synth part of a performance, I mean, to do it all on one machine. No one shows that yet
So much useful information, thanks!! Could you tell me how at the end @33:15 when the kicks come back in, the volume of the Swarm (T7) goes down? It does't seem to be the compressor cause the FX on the whole time

🔥😎❤️💪 TOTALY TOP !!
Yesssssss!!❤
Great info, thanks for sharing! Do you use song mode / pattern chains or mainly jamming with mutes?
Mostly jamming with mutes, I use pattern chains when recording a track, but very rarely.
Straight up. Digging that.🎛🎛❤️
Great Stuff
how does the heavy perc sound around 16:30 comes out of track 3 but it is sy tone?
Nice! Very Ultratubes sounding :)
So good.

I don't hear it to be honest, but I had a bit of compression on the master channel.
