    Two years later what are you using? I am between a nespresso original and barista pro OR a bambino with a niche grinder

    I just recently bought the nespresso virtuo plus, before that I had a nija coffee bar machine, I am loving my virtuo! maybe one day I will try a expresso machine, but for now I am enjoying all the different coffee drinks with my new nespresso !

    The coffee brewers I own-Nespresso Virtuo, Breville Barista Touch, Fellow’s Stagg (X) Pour Over, Chemex, and a Mueller French Press.
    Besides delicious coffee, I enjoy learning how to get the best out of these brewers. For measuring, I use the Time More 2021 digital scale.

    I feel like I had the opposite coffee journey. I always had keurig because I'm the only one who drinks coffee, my husband doesn't even like the smell. But I typically drink a drip style coffee only on the weekends and then espresso during the week. So I got myself a traditional espresso maker, loved it. Love being able to get whatever beans I wanted and not being stuck with limited choices. But I work a Monday-Friday and typically run late, so I bought an instant pod. It does both keurig and original line pods. I thought how convenient and then I would only have one machine. I found that it didn't brew the keurig pods the same as my actual keurig and I was having a hard time finding an original line pod that I liked to replace my espresso. I replaced it with a vertuo next. I got it on sale and with a coupon from bed bath and beyond. But that machine turned out to be a dud, and nespresso replaced with a vertuo plus. And about six months ago I got myself an essenza mini. I wanted to try more pods but I do drink a triple espresso every morning. So the mini probably won't be an everyday thing for me.
    Having worked for Starbucks many years ago and for many years, I really do appreciate a French press coffee. Because there is no filter you are not losing any of the coffee oils and get to keep all those flavors. But I'm lazy and hate cleaning it out, especially just for me.

    I have the Creatista Plus and its great for busy mornings when you want fast coffee and I purchased the Breville Touch Impress which is a step above the regular Touch at 2.5 times the price but I justified it because it was on Sale 20% off and what a difference REAL ESPRESSO versus Nespresso much stronger better tasting coffee!

    i love my vertuo the best but once in awhile i enjoy my own beans ground to use in my expresso machine i just enjoy the simplicity of popping in pod a little more 🤗i find my original is a little weak

    I turned my Nespresso into a fresh ground machine. I buy whatever beans I want grind them fresh refill my capsules. There is a new seal on the market called Coffee seal. foil seal with a little sticky seal that holds the foil in place and keeps grounds freash... 100seals for $9.99..... My house smell like starbucks

  • @aceprdcr3

    Ok, to answer the question you asked at the end: Which machines do you have? I’ll allow my inner coffee hobbyist/enthusiast to tell you about my loves. 😊 I have 4 Nespresso machines: Vertuo Evoluo, CitiZ, Creatista Pro, and VertuoPlus Deluxe by Delonghi. I also have a Breville Bambino Plus and a Ninja DuoBrew Pro. A couple French presses and pourover setups, as well as a few cold brew makers and a never-before-used aeropress. AND I’m eyeing that Tchibo beans-to-cup machine I just recently spied. But I’m not supposed to be buying nothing else coffee-related this month. (Looks at the calendar and says, Lord help me. 😂 This month is going to be long.)
    Question for you: What scale do you use for measure out your beans and weigh your shots output for Bri? I want to get a good coffee scale that will measure to help me get consistent shots. Ok, I’m done now. Lol

    There is a Starbucks dupe sold at Bed Bath & Beyond for the Vertuo. It's the only Vertuo compatible dupe I know of. The Creatista PRO is probably amazing. It has two boilers, so you can froth and brew at the same time and it has a touch screen menu which looks amazing, as apposed to the Creatista Plus (the machine I have and LOVE) which has one boiler and the menu screen lights up but you manually toggle through the choices of coffee drinks. You can pick how hot you'd like your milk and how frothy, and how dense the coffee pour will be. I find that with my Vertuo Plus the coffee is not as hot as I'd prefer it. I still use it on my work days and I LOVE the double espresso pods. Girl, if I had the room I'd get me a Bree too though. Lol! Because, why not?!

    I have had the breville it's long winded and I fell out of love with it took way to long. Now my Nespresso machines love them quick easy and convenient. In the summer save tons of money making my own iced coffees with cold whipped milk and sugar free syrup. when I watched your show it gave me the push to purchase Nespresso machine. I highly recommend the Nespresso system.

    I've had the Nespresso Vertuo Plus for years and had a seal failure water leaked everywhere last year outside of the warranty, but they fixed it for free. Recently just bought the Breville Barista Express but wanted the Touch. The Express was $150 off so it was hard to pass on it and the Touch is so much more expensive. Oh well, the Express will get me to learn about dialing in the process.

    • @maisonmalli
      @maisonmalli  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Steve!! No you can’t. The Nespresso original line is exclusively espresso and lungo. But even the lungos I use as just espresso because they are tow watered down for me.

    • @steverossi3060
      @steverossi3060 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maisonmalli oh okay. I mostly drink coffee but I love Americanos too which is a lungo I believe. I also love cappuccino and lattes but only make them a couple of times a week. So maybe an Original line would work for me. Nespresso just upped their prices too. I looked for that senoma machine but it’s out of stock.

  • @marcozg77
    @marcozg77 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your video is very well structured and your arguments are easily understandable.
    I owned a Nespresso machine but am using portafilter machines for 6 years now - never looked back.
    Personally I wouldn't buy the Breville because having a separate grinder just allows for much better results. I use a QuickMill Carola (espresso only, the machine doesn't have a steam wand) and a Eureka Spezialita grinder.
    I pull a dopio every morning (weekday) before work, the entire process takes 10 minutes (start to grind, distribute, pull, drink, clean up). Yes it's slower than nespresso,
    but nespresso is nowhere near a real espresso (given freshly ground high quality beans).

    Thank you for your thoughtful video. As for me, I recently purchased a Breville Barista Pro, which I love. But i might be returning it. The practical side of me thinks that it is overkill because I also have the Breville Smart Grinder Pro .I was also looking at the Barista Touch, but it's even more expensive than the BBP. So with that said, a coffee maker with a built in grinder is not needed in my house. I might return it and get the Breville Bambino Plus instead, which is about $300.00 cheaper than the BBP. It also has a much smaller footprint. If I do keep it, I might reserve the grinder I have for drip coffee, which my Ninja Duel Brew CFP301 does extremely well. As for Nespresso machines, I could never buy into them because they require for the most part Nespresso Pods, which are way more expensive than using coffee beans. The practical side of me always rears its ugly head. :)

      Thank you so much for commenting. Hey!! Being practical will get you far hehe. I totally understand. I got this one because I didn’t have a grinder and so buying that abs the bambino would have come out to the same plus more space on my counter. This one works perfect for me!

    Hi Ashmalli 👋 we got our vertuo plus machine at the beginning of September, so only had it 3 months. It was my wife's idea as she was more into coffee than I was at the time. Since then she has discovered she has a caffeine sensitivity and gets acid and allergy symptoms when she drinks coffee 😭 ...I on the other hand went from not being that into it, to now drinking 2 cups a day! So I'm getting the use out of it at least. And my wife is able to have the decaf options now, so it's great that they released a few more recently. I'm definitely thinking I'm going to explore pourover in the near future too 🤔 🥰

    • @maisonmalli
      @maisonmalli  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow! So now it’s pretty much your machine. Yes! Pour over is lovely. I have been getting some heart burn though that I didn’t experience with Nespresso. We’ll see how it all goes

      @erindesirae4383 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maisonmalli yeah pretty much! She just has a decaf every now and then. She did find taking breaks from the coffee helped the acid symptoms wear off, but it got to the point where it happened every time. Sad times. But I'm sure you will be ok if you just take a bit of a break from coffee for like a day and drink something else instead 🤗
