well it's all over now, it was a blast playing this game. And seriously I started tearing up and choking while recording Avatar's talk with Lucina, it's definitely my favorite of the Future Past convos

3 Minervas in one world...I'm pretty sure we're breaking some dimensional laws here but...eh...fuck it.
Three Morgans didn't break the timeline (although the fact that Robin had *twins* still breaks my brain), I doubt two Minerva's from a different world would interfere with the native one.
Kinda strange that they put SO MUCH work into this to have every possible father/mother have a seperate convesration, but then they don't bother making grima talk to atleast the avatar.
i just wanna know if the future past is lucina's timeline from the main story, or separate from the main story and lucina's time
TheDarkAngel969 I think it's just how things would have turned out if Lucina travel back in time, but I am still dubious about that.
TheDarkAngel969 what i believe it to be, is that (since the world has no name i'll just call it earth) the earth in the main storyline is YOUR earth, and lucina and company travel back in time from the SAME earth (just in the future) to help you defeat grima. In the future past, however, it is a DIFFERENT earth from the one in the storyline (since you get there from the outrealm gate, it's not your world) and in this earth, lucina and company did NOT travel back in time, and instead tried to defeat grima without time travel, in their time. Since they could not do it, naga asked for your help and brought you to THEIR earth so you could help defeat the grima of THAT earth. (I also believe that this takes place after the events of the main story, even though you technically start the mission during the story)
Otaku Kid that clears it up, i was just curious since whenever i hear timeline, i keep thinking lucina and the other children created time paradoxes (like, i think there was a short story where a guy wanted to prevent the death of a woman he loved, so he created a time machine to go back and save her, only to find out she just dies another way, meaning no matter what he does, she has to die for him to make the time machine and travel back in the first place) or think of the multi universe theory (like Trunks from DBZ, when he warns goku and the others about 17 and 18, instead Gero and 19 appear in there place, and the past 17 and 18 are said to be stronger than the ones Trunks deals with. or the timeline Cell came from *in that one he kills Trunks, and steals the time machine*)
it just gets confusing when you try to look at it from different angles.
TheDarkAngel969 yeah because the lucina in the main game says she came from the past, while what everyone says to their children in the future past is that they say their from another world, not another timeline. It's still confusing i know but I feel like i got most of it figured out.
I have FMU marry Chrom because it just adds so much more angst to the story. Imagine poor Lucina's finding out that her beloved father was killed by none other than her mother. I think that's better than finding out he was killed by a friend that she has no relations with, much less conflict. (Ughhhh the feeeeeeeellllss)

Oh, you forget...
That not ONLY did her mother "die" but SHE killed her beloved..
and thus weakening her enough so that grima could take over..
and now her mother IS the evil that IS destroying the world.
So all those found memories of hugs to her litte luci are now gone, up in smoke as she becomes the world eater.
And morgan, loving his mother way too much..
can't STAND turning against his mother... so he turns on his big sister and all of his once FRIENDS and goes after them. ;____;
So lucina now has to kill her mother, and POSSIBLY her little bro.
But in the final battle, FeMU breaks through, summons enough strength to pass chrom away to ANOTHER PLANE, because she couldn't *STAND* the thought of her killing him again.
So grima surfaces again to kill lucina, but in some last gasp, she will NOT let grima lay a finger on her daughter while holding her in place.
So lucina does the painful thing and kills her mother..
But she smiles and her daughter and says "thank...you... I can finally... ... rest..... "
;___; tears ensue by lucina.
Both happy...

And that's exactly why Chrom x Fem!Robin will always be my personal OTP, no matter what others might say.^^
Also Imaginne the conflict she had to do during the judgment scene. IF her goal succeeds in killing Robin, she not only killed her mother but also killed Morgan in a sense that it prevented his birth in the current timeline.
Rosa Lina Hard choice between that and a RobinxLucina support. While it ain't her mother, it's still her husband.
I like being MMU paired up with Lucina as then the man who was her father's best friend and who she fell in love with is the man who betrayed her father and became Grima, different kind of drama but still awesome drama
Gods, Lucina has it extra hard when "Robin" is her mother I mean her brother 'effin betrays her because "Grima is right" and shit, and her mom is taken over by Grima so weather she likes it or not she has to SLAY HER MOM in the end. It sounds like a Greek tragedy!
good thing this is an alternate path and the robin we know and love temporarily erased him/herself from time when killing grima
I know, right? It’s one of the main reasons I think the story works best when Robin is Lucina’s mother.
Don't forget that her father got killed by her mother lol

It's funny how menacing a little girl with pigtails becomes when they're possessed by the destroyer of worlds.
That star wars style ghost ending was the best freakin way they could have ended it. A perfect ending to an almost perfect dlc. My only wish that there had been more unique dialogue, such as how no one notices that MU looks EXACTLY like Grima, or how Grima has nothing to say about facing him/her(?) self. Still, that was probably just a time constraint thing, and it is still the most amazing dlc ever.
in actuality think on what morgan in that timeline said..."it has been forever since mother took that form" when interacting with the female MU. this means they faced grima in dragon form...though the boss battle there shows as the MU to let you know who it is really...its a game thing...
also they couldnt see with that cloud of darkness aura over her...so yea its hard to tell who it is...
Keep in mind there is an aura around her. Even in the main game, Lucina claims that Chrom is killed "By his closest friend," not specifically MU, meaning she didn't actually know who it was. Even Chrom doesn't know in this DLC until he recognizes the voice before Naga throws him out of the timeline and back into his own.

Ugh, no the ending is too sad I almost cried. Just the thought of Chrom and Stella being there in spirit is already breaking my heart. Ahh, too much feels.
If you look closely off the right screen next to Ghost Chrom, you can see Ghost Marth standing there waiting for them to stop gazing.

I thought the Morgan thing was confusing, and I wish there was a little more specialized dialogue with the Avatar and Lucina based on their relationship, but other than that this is a pretty cool DLC.

I really wish they would have altered the storyline (even just a bit) if F!MU was Lucinas mother . . . that would really make it a killer

Pretty much your (future) Avatar (or Robin) sends Chrom and his companions back to their timeline before chatting with Lucina. During their conversation Robin admits his/her regrets being Grima and begs Lucina to preform the awakening ritual kill him/her. Lucina fails to bring herself to kill Robin and Robin escapes though Lucina vows to kill Robin next time. Later (present) Chrom and Nagi talk about how Grima will rise again and the two hope that Lucina will preform the awakening to end Grima.

spiderlover678 You're not the only one. This ending basically has much more closure compared to the one in the main game. I mean sure, hearing about Nowi becoming an entertainer and accepting frivolous gifts from the people of Ferox to keep warm is all good and nice, but it'd be even nicer to see it rather than read about it on a slide. But hey, there's so many characters in the game and so many routes that can be taken, it's more or less impossible to account for everything in a way that makes the ending feel better. And as a bit of trivia, my description of that slide was the pairing of Nowi and Lon'Qu. Did that most of my playthroughs.

I actually feel it works really well as a DLC end rather than a true end.
Besides, at the end of the DLC, it actually says "The End" basically stating that the story is over. The only thing that comes after Future Past is Apotheosis (Which is hell. I thought Lunatic+ was bad but the secret battles here make me want to kill myself) and Apotheosis has no story other than "Be the best".
I think it's fitting that this is the end for the DLC
Indeed, is an amazing timeline. It have past so many years since i first played it and as i'm gathering memories and info for my Great Lord Lucina Cosplay Performance, this gave me all the motivation and all sort of feelings. Ah... such nostalgic i am. Looking forward to E3 for the new FE spotlight!

well Grima more or less "killed" Female Avatar in order to possess her body, and he clearly wasn't expecting her to suddenly come back the way she did after the battle

Hm, a lot of this dialogue makes it sound like the characters haven't seen the kids for a while, even though they travel with them. This must take place a decent amount of time after the main game.

He/She has already stated that they wouldn't kill their friends, but he/she couldn't kill their mother/father.

I just love this one! This is my fave out of all the extras! It's almost like how chrom and your Stella fought in the main story!
oh, I meant the future from which Morgan came; all we really know about that one is that Avatar was around in some capacity as a good role model.
...and then I guess there's another level on which Future Past ended for my file; since Lucina is the Avatar's daughter, the next vessel for Grima is probably going to come from House Ylisse itself.

My favorite part was when Grima(stella) managed to stop Grima from attacking and send chrom and stella back to their world.
I would have expected for there to be special dialogue between Lucina and Grima is the Avatar is her father.

That's up for debate. The Future Past is centered around the next generation. The main story ties in the first game and offers much more in terms of storytelling and even drama. As far as endings, go, I'll have to agree with you. The epilogue is much better-handled than the main story and is more heartfelt.
I think the part of the reason why I liked Future Past was because it filled in some holes that were in the main storyline. Each father also had unique conversations with their child and it makes it a whole lot more personal. The deaths of each character also carry a lot more weight to me because the whole threat of Grima doesn't seem like some far off future.

yeah that's kind of the point of the Future Past episodes; extended storyline and being depressing as all hell (though heartwarming in some parts).
as for what really happened to Morgan, well...the world will never know, much like how we'll never know much about the future of the Morgan in your party.
It's worth noting that there's a bad ending to this chapter similar to the other segments of this series. I obtained it by letting one of the children die.

It's actually a pretty hollow victory when you think about it. An exalt gave the final blow so Grima has only been put back to sleep again and all this crap very may well repeat itself. Plus Lucina couldn't save her poor deluded brother, corrupted by the grim visage of his mothers body possessed by a chaos god. But I did like the little nod at the end, sad but still sweet.
You got a point there, but I am sure Grima shouted the Avatar's name like to curse her or something.

They escape the battlefield after the Avatar talks to them.
They were fighting for Grima (with Grima being their mom and all) but talking to her human form made them regret it and flee the battlefield, unable to choose between friends and family.

No. Only Lucina and female Morgan can have siblings (unless Chrom doesn’t marry one of the girls he can marry) and female Morgan can also be an only child if you don’t have the male avatar marry one of the mother units (Nowi, Sumia, Sully, Mirel, Cordeila, Cherche, Lissa, Olivia, Maribelle, and Panne

What I find hilarious is that Chrom has 100000000000000000000000000000000000 daughters. The outrealms are a multiverse, for whenever we make a decision, a new universe is created. So in one Outrealm, everything was all right, and Validar decided not to interfere with the world. In another is the original with the broken past, the other one where the parents and children traveled back, and one which is where the Avatar kills Grima foreve.
What happpens to the morgans
She was present in one of the earlier future past maps as an enemy. You could kill her, or talk to her with your avatar and she would run away.

I just recorded my convos, then restarted, then flew straight to Grima and killed him before the Risen could get any of the 1 HP NPC kids
Yeah, it'd be a pretty neat concept for a really distant sequel. Now the execution...we'd have to wait and see.
I assume male Morgan died, while female Morgan survived. Female Morgan seemed to have escaped death, wanting to learn new tactics from Grima. Male Morgan seems to have died, wanting forgiveness from Grima as his last words.
What a heartwarming little end to a bleak future.
Thanks for the advice. When I get this DLC, I don't want to blindly rush into it without any strategies and get my ass kicked.
You know, I'm surprised this one is the easiest to do of all the Future Past stuff. Then again, I boss rushed like I did in the Final Chapter.
I brew a mean cup a tea.
The whole thing? FP1 and 2 required a bit of thinking, FP3 was just brainless. For this one, it was pretty intuitive how to get the best ending; rally spam (Morgan and Lucina were my rally bots), have Chrom equip Aggressor and Avatar Tomefaire (and both with Limit Breaker) so they could hit as hard as possible, and then you saw how Avatar attacked Grima and beat him really quickly.
One turn completion for this one, so the childrens' stats didn't really matter (unlike the first two maps).
Notice how Severa's the only character in this DLC that isn't elevated to her advanced class. Besides Yarne, I mean, since he's a taguel, and you know.
She is she's a hero now
No, heroes have their shield in front of their body. Severa clearly has it to her side.

These DLCs hit me really personally. I love rogues and redeemers 3 the most, but future past gets BLOODY FUCKIN'' intense.

+HackersSun According to story purposes it is believed that there is a future where Morgan dies and one where Morgan lives. Morgan lives in the main story line and losses his or her memories after being transported to the main time line.
Which explains why they have 2 copies of the same Strategy books in the hot spring dlc.

Well no actually, she only had 1 child but since there are multiple universes then that isn't out of the question. What I was saying was that there was a point in the future past dlc when the Avatar gives future past Morgan a book of strategies. She then says that she has already given her that book in her time.
Then if you play the Hot Springs DLC you find out that Morgan has 2 of the exact same strategy books and can't remember where she got them except that they were given to her by The Avatar. Thus we can surmise that in one possible future Morgan dies and in another future he/she faints or flees but is sent back in time with the other children except without his/her memories. The loss of memories is believed to be a kind of pity that is given to Morgan as they have a mental breakdown in the future past dlc because of their betrayal of lucina and the other children.
