Thanks very much for this. This is the first time I've come across your channel. I'll be flying that route NAN-LAX in August, and this is a really helpful review. Thanks
No worries at all. This was my first review video so I'm glad you found it useful. I'd fly FJ to the USA again in a heartbeat. If you have any questions feel free to let me know. Cheers.
They are a beautiful aircraft. Back when I took this flight they were only new to FJ and the staff all seemed to have such pride in working their new aircraft. It's great to know they have more on fleet now.
Hey mate really enjoyed your flight review, could you start doing more flight reviews in the future like qantas emirates united American Airlines and, also domestic airlines like virgin Rex Jetstar
Thanks for the encouragement! I'll definitely aim to do a review every time I fly. I'll have the return leg of this flight uploaded soon, and also a flight SYD-HNL with Hawaiian later this year.
Would you be able to let me know the tranitting experience? Did you simply go from arrivals to departures and not leave the international side of the airport? Did you need a visa to enter? Did you go through customs? Or just go straight to your flight?
Hey Tiffany, great question. For Sydney to LA, we left the plane, went into the terminal but didn't actually fully clear customs. As you walk along the corridor towards Customs you branch off to the side where it says International Transit and go through a doorway. In the transit area you show your boarding pass for the Nadi-LA leg (given to you at check in in Sydney) and your passport. They check your details, then go through a metal detector and carry on bag x-ray, then you exit through another door out into the main departures area of the terminal where you can go get food, sit down, go to the lounge, etc.
@@dainflightz957 Really appreciate the fast response. This was helpful. Just trying to understand the process as I might fly back hom to Australia with my Assistance Dog and looking at choosing this route via Nadi for its business class seat. But transit can be tricky when youre dealing with import permits in Australia.
You're welcome. If it helps, the FJ staff were really wonderful. They couldn't do enough to help you. I'm sure that once you deal with the red tape in Australia (good luck with that lol) you won't have any issues with the Fiji side of things.
Thanks for sharing! Looks great. I've never tried Fiji Airways before but have been curious. I've now subscribed :)
