    Hi Jim, look forward to the video of your trip. I just had to watch this one straight away with a title like that.
    I'm with you completely on your point of view.
    Great to hear you talk about this stuff as of course its obvious your a spiritual guy.
    I have thought of a similar video myself as I have been meditating almost everyday for around 1 hour for 43 years and now I'm not working anymore it feels as good as it did when I first started.
    All the best Jim and always great videos.

      Fantastic Dave, I knew I had fellow travellers on this channel. Meditation saved me from a very self destructive mind set. I now focus on the observer self rather than the habitual negative thought prosses and it brings peace, a peace that allows true appreciation and gratitude for ever moment. Time is short and everyone of those moments are important. Blessing to you my friend.

    Hi Jim, the main reason, why I like watching your channel is that feeling your have for life and natural world. I appreciate you sharing some of your inner thoughts. When I go hiking and camping with a close friend, he has a similar beliefs. Which we discuss and over the years it's started to make me think a lot more... thank you for channel and Content. Its always much appreciated. Take care and I look forward to seeing the rest of your walk.

      I walk through this land like a lion, bold, claiming ownership as I walk. Don't know why, always felt it kept me safe in an unpredictable world but it's more than that. A strong confidence comes when that mind set is present and it leaves me thinking that that is the way it should be, free, sovereign, on form and totally in the moment. Moved at the beauty of this land, observing nature interacting and very much feeling part of the whole. But then a return and my confidence subsides, much more guarded, less authentic and this has been my experience for years so on a conscious level I intend to bridge the gap and retain that wonderful authenticity and have no stake in the outcome of this world. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend.

Didn't know if I'd upload it, but on play back the usual thought prosses was present "don't do it" but sometimes we have to push the boundaries and just say what's on the mind. Cheers mate.

      Thank you Martyn, I had this one negative thought just before uploading. Brave or stupid. Neither as it turns out because it's just a chat and what's the worse that could happen, people move on. No problem because the best scenario, I get like minded souls raising a glass. Thank you my friend. Opening up like this is a tonic and so good for the soul, at the end of the day it's what this channel is all about. Soul Food. The walk and camp will be up at the weekend. Cheers.

    I watch your videos for your passion for the environment you find yourself in, that grin when you find something pleasing is infectious. In my world people are free to believe whatever they wish, provided it does no harm to others or the environment, pretty sure we share that 'ideology', for want of a better word.

    • @JimHolden
      @JimHolden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure we do as well Si. At the centre of all my beliefs is Freedom. Free to roam free to think whatever you want and go wherever this life takes you. It's one big adventure full of excitement and joy. Sadly we are held back by the powers that shouldn't be but ultimately it's ourselves, the way we think that's the problem. For me true liberation comes from freeing the mind of negative habitual thought. Comes real easy on the fells but the real inner work has to take place in the daily routine. Thanks as always my friend, really appreciate you being here.

      Morning Stan, this was a tricky one for me to upload. It was completely spontaneous in the moment stuff, so tapped back into that when it came to uploading. It really doesn't matter to me what folk believe, just wanted to make it clear where I stand. The connections we make in life are what it's all about and this channel has connected me to some beautiful souls, just wanted to be honest with you all. It feels like the right time for me to talk openly of such things Catherine, my belief system has flip flopped my whole life but it's left me unsettled, not quite right inside but recently through acceptance and a strong love for life, my heart has opened and that underlying fear has gone. I feel free of the internal dialog that places doubt before any activity or conversation. Just walking into the future with openness is challenging but also exciting. My walks have much more meaning these days, less ego just having the mental space to sit quiet and enjoy the birds and the sunshine instead of clock watching and convincing myself that I should be way further down the trail than this. The twenty mile a day walks are over, done with all that. Now I just go as far as I like or not at all. But I am eager to get back on the GSW and other trails I'm researching, spring will be on us fast, so all to look forward to. Look forward to seeing you back out as well my friend. Take care and thanks for watching.

    I consider myself a pagan. My beliefs are giving thanks for the sunlight and living without causing harm by impacting nature as little as possible.
    As far as rituals, I like to join with others for summer solstice to celebrate the longest days and winter solstice to celebrate the days getting longer again. We get drunk and welcome the sun in the morning. No sacrifices, no pentagrams, no dark rituals, that's a media creation. Just like any religion you can dip a toe in or go full puritan.

    • @JimHolden
      @JimHolden  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya Steve and thank you for shedding some light on Pagan beliefs as mine are very similar. Welcoming the return of the Sun in spring with gratitude is something we should celebrate for sure, it was a matter of life or death back in the day and the start of planting season, a time of abundance, but for me it's a case of celebrating God's creation at work. I'm fully aware of how the media demonises all belief systems and always has. I read somewhere that in the middle ages the church couldn't get Pagan Europe on board so deception tactics were brought into play sending travellers with rumours of miracles and the like followed by canonized priests with so called proof. Europe and the whole world has been ruled by deception ever since. Free thinking Human beings are a serious threat to the ruling class and always have been. It's about time we put aside our minor differences and come together to knock them off there ivory towers. Thanks again Brother and take care out there.

      Hiya Dan, this subject and my relationship with God has dominated my life. Most of it I was resisting, holding back, too scared to be honest with myself, but I was having some very special quiet moments, so much so that they became a reference point to keep trying. It is hard of course it is. The nature of this world is Illusory, but once the penny finally dropped for me it became easier. I made a conscious decision to drop out, and I mean totally. I now live in a van on my mates farm, in the middle of nowhere, no TV and it will be seven years this spring. The point to that is that there are two reality's, your own and the collective. I was dancing between the two, or dipping in to the collective on a daily that left me feeling lost in my own. So turned my back on this world and just follow my own path now. I still have to deal with the world of course but now it's on my terms and I truly believe that God created us to be free thinking individuals, freedom loving human beings with open hearts. Thank you for watching and commenting.

    Nice one Jim - I enjoyed that. Yeah, I keep saying when people ask me, 'I'm all faiths and none.' I'm not a cheat or a weak spiritual being it's just that I know I have to be 'non affiliated.' It's what god is calling me to be in order to be of service on this troubled planet at the mo. For sure it's vibration and frequency and as you say when in that right frequency there is no fear - only knowing. Cheers bro. I trust you're well. Mark

    • @JimHolden
      @JimHolden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice one Mark, I love the "all and none" and the "none affiliated" we are pretty much on the same page. This chat was never planned though, I just found myself an early pitch due to my main camera failing and having to change plans. Cutting the walk short left me pondering a question that came in from my previous upload. I was kind of troubled by it, so spontaneously started a rant, not knowing if it would make enough sense to upload. I understood that it could go wrong and some may turn off and some did. First vid that has lost me subscribers but hey I can't worry about that. The point I was trying to make is that we are all on our own journey, it's personal but as a vlogger I can't go on leaving some guessing as to my beliefs. Visiting the Pagan sites left some presuming I myself was a Pagan, and of course I am but I'm also a Christian, a Buddhist and all other faiths. I just can't fully hang my hat on any of them. In my opinion, the only route to freedom, to God is inward.
      Anyway, really appreciate you watching my friend. Hope all's well with you.

    Totally with you on that. I believe that we are eternal frequency and electro magnetic antennas( same for each and everyone of our Trillions of cells within us) and all humans are on a frequency band so if you picture a BarCode as the band width and the perfect human frequency is dead centre then what you described as feeling the sensations from a bad person which is what our gut feelings pick up on then that person is way off centre , perhaps through circumstances , they way they have been mistreated ,drugs, alcohol, poisons, pestices, herbicides, food additives and pollutions etc etc. We Transmit and receive in an omnidirectional way just like a communication Antenna . Its important to know what to receive and what to transmit and when we are out in nature, in wild environments near running water, oceans, thunder and lightening , strong winds we are exposing ourselves to Negative Ions which ground us and re centre us (Earthing). First video i have seen of yours, hopefully i might bump into you one day out on a camp in the hills and exchange worldly views etc ATB and God Bless.

Love the bar code metaphor and how you explain the dodgy geezer, makes so much sense to me. We live in a toxic environment both for the mind and body but as I've said the Soul knows the truth and once that understanding is reached this toxic world cannot harm us in any way. Really appreciate you popping by Olan and Thanks again for watching.

      @@JimHolden You are welcome Jim. My pay scale during 15 years military service was based on communication courses that i did during those years so my understanding of How radio frequencies and antennas work makes total scientific sense to me. I even remember in 1981 they shown us human brain waves on a screen and how the frequency can be effected/distorted by interference from the other electronic devises . I am totally anti military these days and it was years after i left the Army that everything started to make sense and i am still working on it :) If you look into Dowsing Rods and earths natural energy lines/Lay lines etc it just reinforces my beliefs and its easier to explain all this to get a better understanding that we are eternal energy manifested in human vessel. Religion's to me are first generation capitalists but i still respective fundamental lessons in most of them.

    Hello Jim. Great to see you posting again. Plenty to think about in what you've said and I'm thinking now. . . I mostly agree with you, but I have moved away from my strict Christian upbringing and now tend to believe that there is not actually an entity called God and more to believing that God is the light and the goodness in every single one of us and the devil is the urges to do selfish hurtful things to other people that also exists in all of us.
    And it's our own moral battle to determine which wins, but we probably won't get rewarded or punished in the afterlife either way, much as it would be desirable that was the case. . And organised religion being conservative and patriarchal has nothing to do with that light/dark dichotomy, it's just to keep people in their place and not moan about how unfair an unfair society can be. . Ooh that's a bit more thoughtful than I've sent comments on your vids before. Keep posting please Jim!! Take care....

    • @JimHolden
      @JimHolden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Beautifully put Sarah, I really appreciate your thoughtful comment, thank you. I would never disagree with anyone's belief as mine have been a steady flow from one meaningful thought to another, never really clinging to any of them. I moved into Buddhism when I was a younger man thinking that introspection was much better than recruitment as that's how I viewed Christianity back then, also to spite my step mum as she was and still is a serious Jehovah's Witness, also there is an absence of a creator God, we simply create our selves through the laws of karma, action and reaction. But if I'm honest and that is the nature of this thread. My gut or inner intelligence has always known that this place is a construct. Thoughts of evil in an upside down world have almost sent me mad, fear, not for myself but my children and grandchildren, there future and every other soul out there. But every time despair has set in something or someone outside of my thought prosses has given me a there there then moment, hard to put into words but I know it was external to me. Pondering moments like these leave me with no explanation other than, there really isn't anything to fear as we are here to go through this, to grow but for what reason? Easy to explain once I fully understood the nature of this world and it's god and the minions that serve it. It has no power over us, only influence, it's power comes from our compliance. It needs us to agree to abandon the Over Soul, the one true God and creator of all things and God is allowing this corruption to take place. But there is a time limit and things are heating up for the lower case god as his time is almost done. This is my perspective, to walk in this world like a lion, bold as it's part of a much bigger picture that is slowly becoming very clear. Thank you again Sarah and please accept my apologies for going on a bit.

    Isn't Spirituality also a construct? I have no idea what it is. What is a soul? Is that a concept or something actual? Just sounds like more bubblegum for the mind to cling onto.

    • @JimHolden
      @JimHolden  ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose it could be Stuart, if you take the word and use the intellect to understand the meaning, for sure all sorts of constructs appear. Each individual would no doubt come up with something different. But an inward journey over time reveals something odd, odd to the intellect anyway but for the discerning mind and open heart there appears a knowing that is way more powerful than a belief. That Knowing brings a peace like no other, and the mind becomes calm. No clinging, none of the usual doubts that were present before, of course they all race back as soon as you get back in the rat race but this is the nature of the mind. Practice can transform the Human from a nihilistic base to something spiritual. Identifying as spirit brings an understanding of time and space and your permanent place within the whole. But to someone without the will to understand this world I suppose it all sounds like bollocks.
