An important note I learned while working on my last video: the damage formula for black orb is wrong More descriptive explanation: I wrote that heroin/meat pies multiply the total damage, in actuality, the only increase the attack stat. For the melee formulas, that means you'll actually be getting (negligibly)more damage due to order of operations. Magic will be getting less eg: black orb does 100+ 4×matk -20. With heroin you'll get 100+4×1.3×matk - 20 instead of (100 + 4×matk -20)×1.3 Fire weakness should still apply to the total damage ie (formula)x1.3

I like that it's called Maso Viable but to get those skills in maso mode you'd be pretty much required to get through the gate anyway. I'm trying to think if there's any way it's possible to use your one hexen table use in the orphanage to get the skills needed. The issue is gro-goroth affinity. Black orb requires 3. And you can't get the blood sacrifice skill because that'd use up your hexen table. So you'd have to get it from sacrificing all 3 ghouls or a kalev (if you start as Marina) or using up 3 of your 4 old god circles for gro-goroth. I guess you can use one for Kalev instead and recruit Kalev then sacrifice him later that would be slightly better. Then you need to have killed O'saa, and have a bunch of soul stones saved up. So I suppose it's not terribly difficult but it requires 3 of your 4 old god circles just for Gro-Goroth so you can only get 1 affinity with another god and 1 with Sylvian. Which might be okay if you use that 1 affinity for Sylvian. Rher skills are useless and Vinushka's aren't necessary.
i was able to do this, but as o'saa. takes a TON of luck (soft resetting lol) to get the chac chacs, but it's possible. it's kinda funny fighting rancid and marina by going backwards through mausoleum alley, but besides that, theres not much to doing this """"skip."""" in theory, it's possible to do an entirely pacifist run on maso mode with this strat lol
